Frankie 8,552
I'm sure everyone will agree with the sentiments in the short article below. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=793&Itemid=1 After a resounding victory at Tannadice on Sunday, Rangers are champions of Scotland for an incredible 52nd time! Gersnet would like to congratulate everyone at the club for this amazing achievement. From the players to the management team to the day-to-day staff who continue to make our club the most successful in Scotland, everyone has played their part in ensuring the old trophy returns to its rightful place at Ibrox Stadium. Whilst every person connected with the club will be enjoying a few days of celebration ahead of the Scottish Cup final this Saturday, we'd urge everyone to take a few moments to think about how we can now move forward as a club. Retaining the SPL and being competitive in the Champions' League will be a hugely difficult challenge and it is vital we approach the coming weeks, months and years with the kind of strategic outlook that will help deliver more success at all levels. Last, and most definitely not least, Gersnet would like to save a few words for the amazing Rangers support. Despite not winning the title for three seasons, despite constant negative coverage in the media and despite ongoing disingenuous crusades from the authorities, our support have shown to be amongst the most loyal in world football and unrelenting in their devotion to the club. Record season ticket sales year after year and thousands of travelling fans who help keep other Scottish clubs alive, means our fans should be respected for what we bring to the game - not dismissed and generalised in unfair negative ways. Rangers football club especially should be doing more to protect our good name while working with us to face our challenges. Let's use the wonderful title win to build together for the future. We really are the people! :spl:
Super_Ally 0
Excellent sentiments. Let's kick on from here and not rest on our laurels.
bmck 117
still think big changes are needed at the club; hopefully success and the rekindling of the passions will be a better catalyst than the despair and anger had we lost.
Norris Cole 0
Hear hear. This championship must not be allowed to paper over the cracks as our last two were.

Zappa 0
Hear hear. This championship must not be allowed to paper over the cracks as our last two were. Oh god, 2 days after winning the title it's out with the papering over the cracks patter. FFS.
Norris Cole 0
Oh god, 2 days after winning the title it's out with the papering over the cracks patter. FFS. What's your point exactly? Or did you miss "it is vital we approach the coming weeks, months and years with the kind of strategic outlook that will help deliver more success at all levels."
Zappa 0
What's your point exactly? My point is, that I had a feeling it wouldn't be too long after winning the SPL title before some people were talking about bloody wallpapering and moonbeams. We all know there's certain things that can be improved within Rangers as a club & business, but it saddens me to see gers fans writing that sort of tired & frankly insidious dross a couple of days after we've just won back the league. Talking about certain or possible improvements is one thing, but wallpapering over cracks?
craig 5,199
But Shroomz there ARE some glaring problems within the club. We are supposedly 30 million in the red with auto entry into the CL now almost our only saviour. Sorry but that doesnt call for "certain improvements" but for some serious re-thinking on the financial management of our club. Timing though.... perhaps you are right. But it is important that everyone at the club realises there are still challenges ahead and they need to be worked on, rather than resting on the laurels of winning the league. Time waits for no man and all that.
Zappa 0
Last 16 of the champions league & winning the SPL again next season will kick the stuffing out of the debt problem though Craig & it won't have shat all to do with wallpapering or moonbeams.
