Gazza_8 233
The refs performance was excellent that night. He didn't xcrumble under the pressure of the Chelsea players an ffans absolutely hounding him. One decision was maybe a penalty, the others definately not. Personally, the ref shouldn't be punished. The idea shouldn't even be considered.
Gazza_8 233
It was wrong yes, I agree with that. But the thing to remember is that although a famous footballer he is still human and will react to disappointment or the feeling of being cheated in the same way as many would do. What about Lampard, Anelka, Terry, etc etc who never acted like spolit wee pricks at FT? I bet they were disappointed but they accepted it and left the pitch/ Drogba antics were uncalled for and disgraceful
Bluedell 5,679
Drogba deserves a 2 game ban, but no more. The ref deserves not to get such a high profile game for a while, until he proves he can do the game without so many mistakes. That may well happen but it won't be publicised.
craig 5,199
He effectively only has a 3 game ban as 2 are suspended. Did Alex Rae not get a 3 game ban for a legitimate challenge once ?
