Have Falkirk even managed 7,000 for a home game this season? Yes, many of the 200,000 on Manchester were glory hunters, but anyway you can't compare a European final to a domestic one. An even split is OK where each team has an average attendance above 50% of the tickets available, but in other cases the size of the crowds should be taken into account. there us no reason for Falkirk to get above 8,000 tiockets for the game. You are penalising the people who keep Scottish football afloat by turning up each week, and allowing people who haven't been to a game for over 10 years to attend. The SFA should be looking after the fans and not grannies who never go to games. Yet another cock up by the SFA. calscot 0 Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 I think it's obvious to me that the tickets should be allocated pro-rata in comparison to the number that turned up for the semis with priority ticketing to those with a semi ticket stub. That may give better attendances than the pitiful ones at the semifinals as people would want to make sure of a ticket. It is also a punishment of sorts to fans who ignore a semi but want suddenly want to turn up to the final. Where did the 200,000 'extra' Gers fans in Manchester turn up from? They're not 'glory hunters.'? Yet we would have expected a 50-50 split for the Eufa final, though I'm sure in theory we have a larger support. BlueDell put it very succinctly but have to add a few points. The two situations are not comparable. Ibrox can only hold 50,000. All these fans could not attend every home game. 200,000 did not watch in the COMS anyway, so that figure is misleading in this arguement. And we still had less than our average home gate at the match. We'll put up a big screen for all the Falkirk fans in Glasgow and only 4,000 can go to the game. :devil: Also Rangers do not subsidise the European game for everyone else (well not to the same extent ). Scottish football would not survive without our fans yet we're to step aside and let some Falkirk glory supporters enjoy the games show piece. Falkirks Chief Executive said it on the news last night. This isn't just a day our for the Falkirk fans, this is a day out for Falkirk and the surrounding areas. A day out? Why should it only be a day out for people around falkirk? Why shouldn't the people in Glasgow and surrounding areas have a day out as well? Hampden Park, kick-off 3pm Rangers has been allocated 24,890 tickets for the Homecoming Scottish Cup Final. Season ticket holders who have signed up to the continuous credit card payment scheme for semi finals and finals will automatically receive a ticket for this match and payment will be taken from Tuesday 12 May. Season ticket holders on the scheme who selected family section will be allocated tickets in the family section. Remaining tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders only from Thursday 14 May from the sales channels listed below. Season ticket holders may purchase one ticket per season ticket up to a maximum of four season tickets per transaction, subject to availability. Please note that tickets are extremely limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis to season ticket holders only.
