Shearer cant do anything about it, I went to Newcastle v Blackburn back in September and a poor Blackburn side torn them apart - they have been awful all season. Middlesborough still in the mix too I guess. I think Middlesboro could beat Newcastle. At least Southgate tries to play football. Newcastle just look like a team who havent played the game before. Alan Smith isnt the same player since his injury, Barton is a loose cannon, Viduka is just an overweight lump and Owen cant get ahead of them! How many chances does he need then he goes and loses it again. I cant believe how bad newcastle are, they look like a team of 40 year old Ex-Pro's who are turning up for an exhibition match. They dont have 1 player who can stand up or stand out bar the keeper - Harper had a great game and kept the score down. Butt - Finished Nolan - out of his depth Barton - waste of space Owen - finished years ago / not interested Viduka - makes Boyd look like an olympic gymnast Duff - legs have gone Smith - Not a midfielder but never been the same player since injury And the wages these players get is scary!
