johnnyk 158
I've read that a lot. Yet recently I don't see much evidence of it. Yesterday we had McGregor, Webster and Naismith with lots of first team football (not necessarily at Rangers) and then Fleck with some experience. Maybe a few more. They had very few with first team experience as far as I remember. the guys you mentioned above played mainly to get fit for the run in IMO, we have mainly played under 19s all season where they have not. we had 7 under 17s yesterday 3 making thier reserve debuts, they did not. The reserve league is not very important regarding winning the league IMO as you never get a settled side. I seen some of the headlines in the papers today and thought they must have nothing else to print as who really cares? I also don't think we would've got the same coverage if we did happen to win it!

Yeh it's not really that important in terms of who wins it as long as it is effectively serving it's true purpose(s) of getting first team players fit or maintaining fringe players sharpness and helping the youths mkae the step up. Just hate losing to those cunts at anything. Especially since the rags have decided to make a big deal out of it. Are they trying to erase the memories of when we won the real league at their midden? (Stinks of the same kind of nonsense they pulled out that SPL website with "helicopter thursday", they are bizarre animals). I don't follow the reserves ritually and was never too worried about league position due to people saying we don't use the first team players in it the same way as Celtic do. Yet whenever I saw a squad it always seemed to have 3 or 4 big name players. Perhaps it was just the few games I saw though.

I don't think first team players really try their hardest (maybe incase they get injured or have been told take it easy and it's just to get you fit) which is where I see the reserve team. The young guys are the main ones who will be trying the hardest to impress IMO, but i'm not saying they should not try either. it was the headline i saw saying "gers are paddy whacked" and saying Paddy Mccourt was MOTM (maybe he was?) and is a superstar in the making and will help the scum lift the title come the end of May and then he will be a first team regular for years to come. i had to laugh at that
craig 5,199
He played against Gretna, scored and got MOM Yep, and a well deserved MOTM too. I remember being at the game and he strolled it. Him beside Bougherra would make a very decent backline pairing IMO.
ian1964 10,720
I am certain that if Webster is finally clear of his injuries he will be a good player for us and be like a new signing for us

Tannochsidebear 2,405
A player I admired from his Hearts days, and I dont say that about too many players. I would have loved to have seen him get some game time recently, and I would have no hesitation in putting him straight in beside Weir for the Hearts game, a much better option than Dailly who is an accident waiting to happen. Will give us much more aeriel threat in an attacking sense as well, not to mention a bit more pace at the back as well. A complete no-brainer to me, that is why I am 100% certain Dailly will play at CH on saturday. Good old Walter.
