I think Walter is currently showing that Barry has a minute fraction of the influence at Ibrox that fans give him credit for.

Or does his power come from the fans who are now not so keen on him?

I'm pretty sure Le Guen could have got rid of him quite easily if the Frenchman had the commitment, determination and bottle. He had none of those attributes and Barry won due to that and the fact that the Potato had signed a bunch of spuds who weren't fit to lace our former captain's boots, even in his diminished form.

Rather than Derek pointing the finger at the fans, the media and the kids at the school for having a dig at the family, maybe he should look at his brother for doing it in the first place. It was his behaviour that so many see as what is wrong with this country.

He has been a great servant, but has since his return from Blackburn slowly lowered his ability. Whether this was by playing with injuries etc is not for me to judge. If he was injured, he should have been out of the team.

Interesting..... and you know for SURE that SDM was not the one that pushed him out the door ? SDM has never said something out of one side of his mouth and said something out the other at the same time ? OF COURSE HE HAS.

Likewise.... the reason he may have "wanted to leave the club ASAP" could have been because he was being pushed out the door - never think of that being a possibility ?

Further, just because he signed a 5 yr contract and then 6 months later leaves does NOT necessarily make him two-faced. In fact, in some cases, it could be argued he was HELPING the club - tying himself to a long-term contract, at that point in his career, would mean that the club would inevitably get a higher transfer fee if he left.

I am not BF's biggest fan but I thought it was generally accepted that he left because SDM wanted the money given the recent strategy of "down-sizing" at the club.

I have to laugh at some fans that take whatever they read in print as gospel, when it suits, and then lambast the press because what they are reading is "lies, lies and damn lies" - again, whenever it suits.

IF, and it is a BIG IF, BF was the one that wanted away then itstill doesn't show he is two-faced. He signed his contract 6 months prior. You never been in a job, felt good in it and then at some point in the future you think "balls to this, I want to do something else" ?

BF doesn't have his enemies to seek, especially when many of them are in his own club's fanbase.

tell me where in ferguson's book he says he was asked to leave?

tell me where in ferguson's book he apologises for telling lies about his wife being abused in the park by our supoorters being a reason for him leaving?

Barry ferguson does what is best for Barry Ferguson, no matter who gets damaged in the process - he's the same as his clown of a brother - Arrogant beyond belief

Did he HAVE to say he was asked to leave in his book ? Maybe he wanted it kept quiet ? Never consider that ? Maybe he was asked by SDM ? never consider that ?

I am not saying he didn't ask to leave - but I have about as much evidence as you do as to his reasons for leaving. None.

The story about his wife is news to me - care to elaborate ? How do you know it is lies ? Genuine question as I wasn't aware of it.

As for your final statement.... he is no different to many a footballer and, in fact, many a person generally. In footballers a touch of arrogance is usually a good thing.
