DJBlue72 0 Posted April 16, 2009 Share Posted April 16, 2009 The Nominations this season are very poor Brown - The Media's Posterboy and 1st choice and all round thug. Caldwell - the SPL must be dire if he makes the top 4 players over this season Davis - Hasnt been as effective as last season and there is better players at Ibrox than Davis. Mendes - Great start to the season but has faded only showing his class in spells but not enough to merit this award. How Majid Bougherra and Kris Boyd never made the shprtlist is beyond me ??? Bougherra has been solid all season making Cuellar nothing more than a distant memory , no other defender comes anywhere near him especially Caldwell. Boyd will never win any awards for personallity of the year but his scoring record this season and the past 3 has been nothing short of phenomenal he deserves all the awards going in my eyes as he is a striker and his job is to score goals and thats what he does best , but he is not a media favourite like Brown and will continue to be snubbed for these awards now and in the future. Both Players were defo shoe ins for the shortlist but for them to be snubbed by there fellow proffesionals is a disgrace.
