Had to laugh yesterday when I heard Man Ure scored a last minute winner against Aston Vanilla. The Liverpool fans would've been cursing when Macheda scored in injury time and likewise the Man Ure fans when Benayoun scored in the 92nd minute against Fulham.

It's a vicious circle.

If he was... and if yesterday was anything to go by.... we should snap him up ASAP.

What a finish - 17 years old and his turn and shot looked like something you would expect of an experienced pro, not a young kid.

SAF rates him very highly indeed and is desperate to give him as much first team football as possible, hence the idea of sending him out on loan. Man U are fantastic at this, they send many young players out on loan ensuring that they get as much exposure to first team football as possible. SKY Sports showed his hat-trick against Newcastle in the reserves last week - took all three goals really well.

Wasn't he the ManU player linked with a loan move to us in The Herald recently?

Rangers have missed out on the opportunity to sign Manchester United's hot-shot Federico Macheda on loan next season following his wonder goal against Aston Villa. (Daily Record)

Oh well, he wouldn't have gotten a game anyway.
