ian1964 10,870
I wonder if now that Barry is finished with Rangers, Mendes & Davis will take us forward and win the SPL ??, I for one doubt it as they go missing in too many games, BF has not been playing any worse than any other midfielder this season,IMO, however this certainly could be a deciding factor in where the title ends up, still at least this will make a lot of Rangers fans happy, not to mention Murray saving some cash
Frankie 8,890
We can only speculate Ian. Certainly I wonder what Boyd and McCulloch are thinking.

CammyF 9,327
Latest from The ET Scotland and Rangers captain Barry Ferguson sent home from training along with Allan McGregor by Thomas Jordan RANGERS sensationally banished captain Barry Ferguson and goalkeeper Allan McGregor from their training ground this morning. Manager Walter Smith sent both players home on their arrival at Murray Park today before putting the rest of the players through their paces. SportTimes understands the Ibrox gaffer is furious with the pair for embarrassing the club after being axed from Scotland team following an all-night drinking session at the team hotel. Ferguson and McGregor were the last two standing after a group of players stayed up throughout the night after flying back from Holland, forcing Scotland manager George Burley to drop them from the starting line-up to face Iceland on Wednesday. But Smith's decision to send them packing this morning will now raise question marks over their futures at Rangers. Rangers insider revealed: "Walter hasn't been impressed in the slightest with their conduct. He was one of the first people on the phone to George Burley earlier in the week to assure him that any decisions he made would have his full backing. "Smith thought both players showed their international manager a lack of respect and abused their position. And he feels it reflects badly on Rangers, especially with Barry being the club captain. "The manager has obviously had a few days to think things through since learning about their conduct during the week. And he most certainly wasn't impressed with the two players giving V-signs to photographers either. "A lot of managers might not have been brave enough to take action, but if it's one thing Walter that demands from his players it's that they show respect. The two players were left in no uncertain terms they were out of order." -------------------------------- Cammy F
Gazza_8 233
Ferguson yet again thinks he's bigger than our club/nation. He did it under PLG and got away with it and he's done it again. A wee spoiled ned! As for McGregor, he wouldn't be missed either. Alexander is a more than adequate replacement. So has Ferguson been stripped of the captaincy and transfer listed or just suspended without pay for a few weeks/games? Out of interest, who were the other players who stayed up drinking with Ferguson and McGregor?

A wee spoiled ned!. He only 'got away with it' because PLG wouldn't pledge his future to Rangers FC. Hardly Ferguson's fault. Cammy F
pete 2,511
The old saying is '' be careful what you wish for '', I hope it doesn't come back to bite the guys that want BF out on the arse. Funny enough although i am probably his biggest critic i actually find this a bit unfair as he was already punished by Scotland. While it may have a short time negative effect Ian i have totally no doubts this will pan out positively in the future.
