calscot 0
Just looking at the stats and we played 4-4-2 when we lost to Celtic, Hearts and St Mirren. So every time we've lost in the league we played 4-4-2. We've never lost playing 4-5-1 - except for Kaunas.
calscot 0
We've also drawn 4 times at 4-4-2 compared to twice at 4-5-1 or three times if you count the cup final regular 90 minutes - we lost the game when we went to 4-4-2. So we've only played 4-5-1 three times in domestic competition and drawn 3 times, but that's twice against Celtic and once in a usually tricky away game to Aberdeen. Walter may deserve some pelters but say he needs to drop the 4-5-1 is pretty erroneous.
calscot 0
It's football......... Boro beat Liverpool, L'pool beat Real Madrid. Always happened, and no matter what the formation, it always will. Maybe that's what some fans need to remember.
Jon 0
Thats somne research into thge stats Calscot, certainly didn't realise we were more successful playing 451. I'd rather it was a 451 come 433 though. Rather 442 if I'm honest but the stats you have given have come as a real suprise.
Gers4Life 0
what about 4-1 4-1 and then onto a 4-4-2 when we are winning 3 or 4 nil and fuck it right into the jambos
