Gazza_8 233
I've just read Hutton has pulled out the squad so why the fuck did Burley pick Hutton when he knew there was a high chance Hutton would pull out with injury?

I thought Burley only picked players who were playing regularly?
Norris Cole 0
Talk of Souness taking over if Burley gets a hiding against the Dutch. Can't see it, the fans won't take to him.
Gazza_8 233
Can't see it, the fans won't take to him. I'd happily take him as Rangers or Scotland manager cause he's determined as fuck as that could transfer to the players.

ian1964 10,761
Exclusive: Scotland hit by injury crisis as Barry Ferguson and Davie Weir join sick list Mar 24 2009 By Keith Jackson and David McCarthy GEORGE BURLEY'S big plan for Amsterdam was in tatters last night as Rangers stars Davie Weir and Barry Ferguson joined his list of crocks. Record Sport understands Ibrox centre half Weir is expected to limp out of the squad today along with Celtic defender Stephen McManus while Scotland skipper Ferguson is rated only 50-50 to make it. And that means Burley could be forced to pitch Christophe Berra or Darren Barr into the firing line against Holland. McManus was already a major doubt before the players gathered last night at Loch Lomond. But Weir dropped a bombshell on Burley's HQ when he checked in and immediately reported a knee injury to the medical staff while Ferguson is struggling badly with a chest injury. With Kirk Broadfoot also expected to be ruled out with damaged ligaments in his foot, Burley looks set to have to patch a back-line together in time to face one of the most potent and talented attacks in world football. And either Berra or Barr - with just four caps between them - could be asked to step into the breach and help Gary Caldwell shackle the likes of Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Dirk Kuyt and Robin van Persie. Burley might even be forced to scramble around for emergency cover today with Rangers' Steven Whittaker and Aberdeen's Scott Severin among the possible 11th-hour replacements ahead of Thursday's flight to Schipol. Derby's Kris Commons is another complaining of a knock but Rangers striker KennyMiller, who was left out of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Hearts, will be fit to face the Dutch despite a persistent hamstring problem. While Burley knew he'd be wrestling with defensive problems he believed his midfield of Ferguson, Celtic's Scott Brown and Manchester United's Darren Fletcher would give Scotland a chance of taking an invaluable point. But last night Ferguson's problem came to light. The 31-year-old injured the wall of his chest against Celtic two weeks ago but played through the pain and scored in the draw Hearts. Ferguson had hoped the knock would clear but he remains hampered byit and is by no means a certain starter for the Amsterdam ArenA.
