We'll soon find out if the manager and players have the right attitude to win the league. They didn't in the cup final against our biggest rivals, they didn't in the last 2 league games against them either and didn't in quite a few other SPL games recently.

If we saw more commitment from the club, manager and players I'm sure more if not all fans would have the belief you are talking about and want......is that too much to ask seeing as we're paying to watch them play while they receive handsome pay checks?

You can't believe in a product no matter how much you love it if you don't think it's good enough can you

Yip, the clubs a mess from top to bottom, but hey, but some of our fans are willing to blame a section of the loayal fan-base (who paid anything from £25 to £33 for a ticket on Sunday. Add that to travel expenses, a few pints, a programme at a fiver, a pie et al) do we deserve better, maybe not eh? :(

Who said anything about confidence? I think it's pretty 50/50, perhaps a bit less, but that's enough to keep supporting the club instead of "giving up" as so many are advising us to do. If I had my money in the pot and had a 30% chance of winning, I'd see who had the best cards rather than just folding.

Well maybe I was wrong to assume you were confident, I'm not happy with the teams performances,I have not given up

There is no prerogative for talking as if you know the future as fact and preaching to others they should accept this made up fact, no matter how disappointed you are.

Where have I said I know the future?,or preached to others despite my disappointment

So it's ok to unfairly slag your manager and players off, but not to fairly slag off your own fans? I may not have been there and I'm not the loudest singer but I was very disappointed with our fans which from my armchair, looked silent and grumpy compared to the singing and dancing Celtic fans - and this was from about the 30 minute, I'm not talking about after they scored.

I am a paying customer and I am not happy with the product on offer, you're not the only one that is disappointed with the fans but do not question their loyalty as if you know that for fact, are you disloyal because you don't sing loud ?

Turning up is fine, not singing is fine, but I don't know how you can do so and then slag anyone off for not having passion, enthusiasm, tenacity or guts...

I am entitled to slag the management, team and anyone else associated with the poor performances, they are well paid professionals

Well I don't normally bet, but some here think it's a sure thing we'll lose so perhaps they should be putting as much money as they can on Celtic. It's easy money, eh? It's not as if the bookies won't take their bets.

I have never said we won't win the league, I normally bet on form !!

But we don't know that yet, do we? The point is that if they have the same attitude as some fans, then those fans will be 100% right. The trouble is that the fans don't seem to be helping the club, we're now a man short. If we do win, will it be DESPITE the fans?

If we saw more commitment from the club, manager and players I'm sure more if not all fans would have the belief you are talking about and want......is that too much to ask seeing as we're paying to watch them play while they receive handsome pay checks?

Maybe as a pretty average footballer myself, I'm someone who doesn't see it as that easy just to go out and play a blinder every week. However, if I was in a team and competing pretty well for all trophies then I'd find that kind of criticism pretty harsh.

I think it's harsh on any team to get stuck into them for losing a final to the other biggest club in extra time. Is it really such a crime?

It feels strange to have to keep saying it, but we're three points behind in the league with a game at home against top to go, as holders, we narrowly lost in extra time in the cup final and we're in the semi-final of the other cup which we also hold. Now is that the MO of a team that deserves huge criticism?

There's nothing to crack open champagne for but is the only acceptable result winning everything every year? Do the same fans have the same standards for themselves?

Do they even understand football and the meaning of the word, "match".

You can't believe in a product no matter how much you love it if you don't think it's good enough can you

When a product is highly competitive in all areas, why wouldn't you believe in it?

I personally don't think it is hypocrisy of the fans to have this attitude. The fans are supporting the team because they love the club. It isnt their responsibility to have the above traits.

The passion, enthusiasm, tenacity and guts really should come from the players who are being PAID to carry out the job at hand and there were plenty of our players on Sunday who didn't really look like they wanted to be at work.

Cal, but you aren't taking into account how we approached the cup final and how we failed to play to OUR strengths and expose THEIR weaknesses. That isn't the fans fault, no matter how you spin it.

We are only in contention in the SPL and Scottish Cup as there is only really two teams who can win all three domestic trophies. Rangers and Celtc dominate the Scottish Game and will in the vast majority of cases win the trophies. It would take something exceptional for Rangers and Celtc not to win these trophies, so when they come head to head as they did on Sunday, it is a case of being positive and trusting and backing your players to better the opposition - Walter Smith didn't do that, and he hasn't done that in his last three encounters with Celtc.

The reason so many fans are negative is due to the product on the pitch. We are woeful and haven't showed any true form in the SPL this season - the only games that stand-out as being what I would call acceptable are Celtc away 2-4, Hibernian away 0-3, ICT home (first half) 5-0, Hamilton twice and home (2nd half after they were reduced to 10 men) 7-1 & 5-1. That's about it.

So the negativity isn't the fans fault, and how can you say playing in front of 50,000 passionate supporters every week is like being a man down? Our home form has been pretty decent this season, it's on our travels that we've struggled - kn=inda blows your latest fans fault theory out the window.

ICT 0-0 A

Queens Park 2-1 H Scottish Cup

Rangers 0-0 H

Motherwell 1-1 A

St Mirren 7-0 H

Killie 2-1 A

St Mirren 1-0 A

Rangers 2-0 N Co-op

Hardly the form of some unstoppable force that we should all give up hope.

Think Cal has good reason to hold some hope.

Yes it will be difficult, they hold the advantage. Both sides are poor.

We've had what 2 poor results in the same period; this weekend and ICT.

Yet, they are STILL 3 points clear of us and now have the momentum after defeating us on Sunday. Nobody has claimed that they are unbeatable (maybe Walter holds that belief tho given his tactics in the last 3 OF games, where we've failed to score a single goal) and a decent Rangers team would be out of sight now.

Given our form, what gives anyone the belief that we can win more games than them from now until the end of the season? I have no doubt that both teams will lose games in the run in but unless our manager approaches these games in a positive manner then we aren't going to catch them.

We are continually 2nd in a two horse race - simply not good enough.

We've picked up 4 more than them since January. Same again between now and the end of the season. :rfc:

I'm not saying we're favourites, but like Cal I wish everyone wouldn't give up the fight. Even if you think the players have. Is that how we measure our support now? I don't think the players are trying so why should I? It's one of the few occassions where I admire the fans of the diddy teams. They support their team through the bad and the good.
