Norris Cole 0
No offense mate, but if people are having trouble understanding what I've written or suggested, they either need to read it again or give up & presumably assume something about it. I don't feel the need to explain myself or my comments whether they're fully comprehended or not. Both myself and Super Ally aren't sure how I twisted what you said (post #44). Surely out of courtesy you could explain to us how I twisted your comment? Naturally it's now clear you don't know yourself, but I thought it would be fun to at least see you make an attempt to explain yourself.

You argued that Norris had twisted your words. You said we were at the top again, well above the non-OF. Much as PLG was a failure, he had us in the same position. And we still aren't top. I dont see how your words were twisted. I just think in this case you were wrong. No shame in admitting to it on occassion.
Zappa 0
I shouldn't be forced into explaining this, but if you read my point correctly, I was responding to the fact that Norris said - "Total clearout needed, and that means Smith, McCoist, McDowall, Durrant, the whole shebang. They are doing nothing for Rangers.". My point was that they have & are doing something for Rangers. How close were we to winning the league last season? How close are we this season? My answer? - Close enough to not have Norris's attitude regrading giving them all a P45. Does that clear up the misunderstanding chaps?

Just not improved enough. I myself am unsure if now is the time to change. But it is not good enough. As I have said elsewhere, the right change (not necessarily of management) could bring home the title.
Zappa 0
Sorry, no. I was asking how I had twisted your point. Oh never mind... FFS, I'll spell it out then, since I'm being hounded about it. You twisted my point when you selectively split my comments & posted "You've just answered it." in response to me saying "well above all the other non-OF teams". Well, my (rather obvious) point in saying that was that we're not doing badly & ARE well ahead of the other teams in the league. Where as you're point was suggesting that I was talking shite & that we ARE doing badly because we're currently second, haven't won the title for 3 years & have a 50/50 chance of winning it this year. So, you were basically suggesting that we ARE doing badly despite the facts & figures. Far from it in fact imo, but hay ho eh? I'm not not one of our 'support' that thinks tearing the house down and rebuilding it is a particularly smart move, so we'll probably always disagree on these matters.
Super_Ally 0
I don't think you'll find many sympathetic to you view point. Whilst we are in a position to win the league (a plus I guess) recent results, performances and seasons suggest that it is less liekly unless we start to do something different.
Norris Cole 0
FFS, I'll spell it out then, since I'm being hounded about it. You stated that under the current management we are "competing at the top of the Scottish game again" then you said "well above the other non-OF teams", which is a bit of a contradiction seeing as being above the non-OF teams doesn't make us "at the top of the Scottish game", as we are 2nd. Still. We'll be top of the Scottish game when we're champions again. By the way (and I like your sarcastic use of quotation marks around 'support'), I wouldn't be so confident about dismissing change - or "tearing the house down" as you phrase it - when the status quo has proven so ineffectual. Zappa 0
I'm not getting 'cranky' Norris. You literally hounded me into explaining something which I didn't need to explain (& you know it) since you already knew what I was getting at/suggesting when it was actually pretty obvious what my point was anyway.

"Hounded" PMSL Thought I asked politely enough to be honest. If you're going to accuse people of twisting things, you should at least have the common courtesy to explain yourself. The other boards I'm on insist on it as a matter of respect. We clearly have two contrasting definitions of "at the top of the Scottish game". For you it means above the non-OF teams. For me it means lifting the SPL trophy. Any further discussion of the management on this thread is utterly pointless IMHO as we are well aware of each other's entrenched positions.
