Folks, We're looking for some provisional names and numbers for the Gersnet Prediction League ahead of the start of the new season. The winner at the end of the season will get the sought after 'GPL Champion' custom forum rank won by Whosthedado last season and a wee prize as well. So, if you fancy your chances at predicting the results of our games in the SPFL Championship and our games in Cup competitions, then please put your name down by posting "I'm in" (or something like that) on the thread here. Cheers! PS - The exact competition format and rules will be announced within the next week to 10 ten days, but might well follow follow the excellent system put in place and run by Bluebear54 last season.

I am going to post this here for now as I want to get the largest group. I have had adverts coming up on the site for a while now. I learned today how to get rid of them. On the task bar on the top of the page is a button for add ons. Open it up and check extensions and plug-ins if there is a exe that you are not familiar with then delete it. I had something like super shopper. There is also a add-on called Ad-Blokker and I installed that and I am now advert free. One thing is you have to sign in again so make sure you know your password.

http://www.gersnet.co.uk/index.php/latest/site-info/293-competition-win-a-savile-rogue-rangers-scarf Savile Rogue, purveyors of the world’s finest football scarves, have teamed up with Gersnet to give your the chance to win a cashmere scarf in Rangers colours. If you’re not familiar with them, Savile Rogue scarves give a nod to football terraces of yesteryear, shunning in-your-face logos and cheap nylon in favour of a traditional bar design and the comfort, quality and warmth of top quality cashmere. To get your hands on one, simply tell us what Rangers player was called up to the Scotland squad for the upcoming matches against Ireland and England? Please email your answer to info@gersnet.co.uk - competition closes on Friday 14th November at noon and the site administrator's decision is final! Please note, unfortunately this competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom. You can follow Savile Rogue on Twitter or Facebook.

Folks, I'm posting this in a new thread here so that nobody taking part in the GPL misses it. I've just completed a significant update to the format of the GPL results & standings tables in Excel and now we have a more advanced template which provides more information and in a clearer presentation. It's something I've been meaning to do for a while and simply had to do it before the season progressed any further because the system of players on the same number of points being separated by their average score or names in alphabetical order made absolutely no sense. So, check out the new league standings table format below, tell me what you think and if anyone has any questions please ask.
