Winter Training Camp | [FT] Rangers 2 - 2 Copenhagen

Well, If you train no contact, tippy tappy fitba...sure. In American football we call it 'hittin shape'. You run two a days in the summer beatin the ever lovin shit out of each other for two months. Your body acclimates to the violence. It literally toughens. By the time you start the season you are ready to tackle a tractor. Did guys get hurt? Yes...but the vast majority built up. Back in the day when they used to actually play soccer, like men, this was the same. Tackling was actually tackling, you fought for possession, it was a man's game, not some no touch prancing theater and VAR. Now if a guy shows his studs to the sun or has a beer during Christmas it's the end of the world. Sanitized, safe, lame. -

Ben strikes me as a big Radiohead fan. I imagine him driving around Glasgow, in the rain, tears streaming down his face, Thom Yorks whining in the background. Rubbing his knees at every stop light. -
Exactly....minus Jack's developmentally malnourished ligaments. We can see it a mile away with a lot of these players. The problem with guys like that is they don't give their all because they don't want to jeopardize that next hop...to the next higher salary...or league. Skaters....relying on just enough talent, and work to keep them marketable enough to glide on. The problem is, they get to Scotland, get out on that pitch with the wind, and the rain and 'Hamish' coming at em sideways. Shit gets real...real fast. I do not envy Rangers recruiting. A pauper's budget in a small, very tough league. A Sisyphean task if there ever was one. Thrift seems appropriate...or fiscal guile

Hagi, the legend grows. Has been ostensibly 'moved on' and rightly so. Same things can only be said again. Great football IQ, and passing ability which will probably take him far in the business portion of the sport...where he BELONGS. However, in the pros that only goes so far, when you are slower than a line at the DMV. Think about him like an uncle doing a 20 year stretch in the joint. Great guy, tough luck, still in the family but, forget about it him.

Yeah, rather have no one on the books than someone who is either lazy, or dogshit. Those two things tend to be close friends at the pro level. This one has lazy written all over him. Oh he is talented or else he wouldn't be bouncing to all of those top tier clubs. But I don't have to know that guy to tell you he has the lead ass. Same with that Dennis clown we have been linked with.

Statement: The Scottish Senior Football Referees' Association
Malangsob replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Funny word 'Official'. Been around since the 13th century. Initial definitions used words like 'zealous, attentive, eager, service, kindness, favor' or the 'performance of a service'. It has apparently morphed into something more akin to omnipotent, deific, or infallible. I said it on here before, they don't like Rangers, they don't care about Rangers, they want Rangers dead and gone. That's not just the SFA, that's all the other teams too. Screw me once, shame on me... What are Rangers at...#500? BOHICA! -
First Half-Beale--sold a bill of goods by a true shyster. As with all shysters when the time came to produce, he failed miserably. Disappointed at the club in the amount of control they provided to Beale during the transfer window. A classic conman (Beale) enabled by a willing dupe (RFC). He was so bad it almost seems like he was a saboteur. Second Half-Clement--Too early to call him the best thing since Walter but he is edging closer. His presence, his intensity. His record has been very good. Especially considering the injury issues and management of Beale's horrid signings. This guy has it though. That Walter vibe. This guy is a general. He looks THROUGH you. I hope he continues on successfully.

No more Red campaign similarities throughout 🇬🇧
Malangsob replied to Fa1833's topic in General Football Chat
Rangers did that for their 'everyone anyone' campaign a few years ago. It was a huge virtue signal that highlighted every statistical outlier in the fan base. People missing limbs, some guy with the tats on his face, lesbians, a pirate, a Bornean head hunter...Nigel Farage. It was both cringe and vomit inducing. I personally loathe the shit out of that kinda crap....such as Scott7's mention of a kit selection to highlight knife violence. It's inane, vain, drivel, akin to standing in front of a burning home holding a sign that says 'look at me!' I'm old school. Do your GD J-O-B...which is win football matches...then give to charity...QUIETLY. -
^^^^ Bam son....this.

Dennis hasn't been decent since Brugge. He was mediocre at Watford, and has sucked ass since. He has managed to wear out his welcome at both NF and the Besaksehir No thanks. We need to get Larry Shankland in. Don't over think it Rangers. Larry will get us goals in Scotland. Larry scores against the scum. Kevin Van Veen on a short term basis would also work.
