Oli McBurnie admits he dreams of playing for Rangers one day
Unicorn replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It was Van Hooijdonk. He was offered £7k a week and told the press ‘It may be good enough for the homeless but not for an international striker’. Classy! -
They’re a strange bunch up there. I lived in Aberdeen for years, the locals were best avoided.
-
Got one. Dreading it, to be honest. I feel a bit like Captain Oates before he took his walk.
-
I don’t know if it’s fair to judge goalkeepers on their age. Or outfield players too for that matter but I’ll leave that aside.
-
Are Hearts signing our entire 2011 team? Maybe they’ll go in for Kyle Bartley next.
-
Oscar Wilde?
-
Wasn’t Walter assistant to McLean at Dundee United?
-
Thanks for that.

Mulumbu stands out at Killie the same way Caniggia did at Dundee.

While that’s true I thought yesterday was as quiet as I’ve ever heard it. Maybe that’s due to it being a terrible game and the fact it was Baltic. Regardless, we need some direction as a club. We’re going nowhere at the minute and Murty, while being a nice guy and an upgrade on Pedro, probably isn’t going to have us seriously challenging for anything any time soon.
-
Whatever we decide to do it can’t go on like this. The atmosphere was dreadful yesterday - largely silent apart from groans and negativity. Even the guys in BF1 were relatively quiet. Before long the fans will just start to drift away. The support have turned out in high numbers for the last 6 years but if there’s no direction from either the board or the team on the park then how much longer is that going to last?

On days like these you wonder why you bother. Last week was bitterly disappointing but at least we gave them a game - or half a game. Today was utter dross. We could still be playing now and we wouldn’t have scored.
-
About to leave. Just need a win today - any way, any how. Looks Baltic outside, better take my mittens.

Ha, I was at the game and wouldn’t have even known this march happened if it wasn’t for message boards. I’m a unionist and I don’t like the SNP but it riles me when people view politics down football lines, people on this thread are just stopping short of saying you’re not a real Rangers fan if you vote for them (and categorically saying it on other message boards). I hope you’re right when saying the Internet rarely reflects the real world.
-
I think Murty is still a bit lacking in the tactical side. Although it’s hard to judge when the quality in the squad is so lacking.
-
What?! Of course they are. A huge chunk of the population doesn’t even care about football, possibly even the majority. I think, or at least I hope, that the amount of people who let their football prejudices dictate who they vote for is so insignificant that any politician attempting to pander to them is doing so out of personal bias rather than as any specific policy by a political party - who only ever pander to populism.
-
Viewing the world - including politics - down football lines is a bit silly. Why would the snp - or any political party - align themselves for or against such a narrow, insignificant substrata of the population? There is easier votes to win than appealing to football prejudices.

He misses some amount of simple chances and is constantly caught offside. He’s young and works hard but it’s costing us points.
