  1. We lost to 10 men in the last game. At home. If that’s worth clinging onto then batter in. Today was shameful, I left at 3-0. No shape, no fight, no hope. Worst of all, it’s not even surprising.
  2. Favourites usually win though. How many times did they beat us in the 90’s for example? Rangers are around 3/1 with most bookies which is probably about right. We have overcome those odds before, most notably when we stopped them winning the league at Ibrox in 2012, but I can’t see it this time. I dearly hope I’m wrong but the defeat last month was very sobering.
  3. Took what they could and then resigned leaving thousands on the table. Aye, that makes sense. i wish people could be humble enough to admit ‘I’m just a fan...I don’t have a clue what goes on behind the scenes’ instead of making up narratives to suit an agenda.
  4. I was up in the club deck and you could see the contact from up there. Ridiculous decision.
  5. I appreciate what he did for us as a player. The glee with which ex-players are vilified and become figures of ridicule, abuse and character assassination which goes on regularly on other forums I find really distasteful.
  6. The way our home form is this season if we tried to draw deliberately we’d probably mess it up and end up winning 2-0.
  7. The Hibs Tims game finishing a draw must be worth lumping on!
  8. Could they not have went for Miller and Gough or something instead?
  9. I’ll leave the picking of the team to Murty but I’d be surprised if Miller doesn’t start. I’m happy with that as he always turns up against them.
  10. I don’t think our support has the patience for an idealist, project type manager like FDB. Two bad results and it’s ‘sack everyone’ and ‘bring back Walter!’. We want results and we want them yesterday!
  11. Good grief! 5?! Ryan Hardie! I know he used to play for Celtic but at least try and be objective.
  12. This scenario happened in 2012 - albeit before the split so it was unavoidable. Anyway, I don’t recall any trouble. The Celtic support were disgraceful in 1999 but, to be fair, it was nearly 20 years ago. I think Rodgers makes a fair point.
  13. Apparently he’s on a relatively low wage. If we do extend for another year then it’s low to zero risk. We’ll get the benefit of his experience and, no doubt, a few goals as well. I really don’t see any drawbacks or anything to get upset about other than the fact some people, particularly online, seem to really dislike him...I can’t think why that might be.
  14. It was a ludicrous decision. The team was practically dead on their feet for that final.
  15. Good day today with the sheep and Hibs dropping points and a much needed confidence boost before Sunday. I’m still dreading Sunday mind you.
  16. Apparently he played very well against the tims the other night.
  17. Awful news. Thoughts are with the Wilkins family. He he was just before my time as I started going in 1990 just after he left but by all accounts he was a classy player for us, as well as being a genuinely nice man.
  18. It all seems so simple. Most players we’ve signed since can’t handle the pressure of playing for a team who has to win every week so it seems like fantasy that a team of hypothetical youth players would. How in 2012 people could expect a club on it's knees, with no direction in the boardroom and no money, to have the "perfect opportunity" to completely change into something stronger and better than it was before is beyond me.
  19. We’re nowhere near consistent enough. Changing managers every season probably doesn’t help that. The next appointment is crucial.
  20. I’d like someone with a handy acronym as it saves time when typing. MPH, GVB or FDB will do nicely.
  21. We’ve went from flirting with a title challenge a few weeks back to being in a real battle for a top 3 finish. What a horrible season. Another one.
  22. Awful news. Thoughts are with his family. He seems like a proper gentleman, a very nice chap on the radio and tv.
  23. Rossiter and Lord Lucan in midfield tomorrow?
  24. The focus on referees seems just a bit like sour grapes.
  25. Thank god international week is over, it was so dull I was almost tempted to speak to the wife.
