We are still depending on Alfredo. When he doesn’t fire we struggle. Pressure was too much for Alfie yesterday. I don’t buy into the claims that we hammered them yesterday since nobody was able to compensate for Alfredo bottling it.

Just watched the BT Sport post match interview with SG. He said that Morelos was the nominated penalty taker. In that case I take it back what I said about Tav.

Why is it daft? He is our captain, and our penalty taker and despite missing a few, he always said he wanted to keep taking them. Then when the pressure is on, he passes. That's not captain like behaviour imo

Nah, sorry Craig, can't agree. Results and winning is what breeds confidence. Today we showed we are still unable to win the big games. I'm travelling over for the YB game on Thursday - but now I feel it'll be more of the same. Tavernier showed why many fans don't view him as a captain. I agree that he should have been removed from penalty duty - but to give it to Morelos at a time like this shows utter cowardice. That was his chance to stand up and be counted. He hid.

Id like to believe that you’re right Gonzo. Certainly would be disappointing if we did have brain dead fans singing the FTP add-on. And there may have been, I don’t know. But, I think it would be impossible to hear a few hundred (let’s assume that it would be a minority of the 3000 if it was indeed sung) with 50,000 fans singing something else that does sound similar if you were looking for it. Therefore, i’m calling BS on this until someone presents clear evidence that it was sung.

Feyenoord 1 Rangers 2 FGS Morelos

We are obviously in a fantastic position in our group that all of us would have taken before the group began. However, it’s very tight and any of the teams are capable of taking point home or away from the others. There are a couple of very real scenarios where 3 points from our last 2 games may not be enough. If we lose in Rotterdam by a couple of goals and YB beat Porto at home by the same margin - both very possible scenarios - beating YB in the final game at Ibrox will not be enough if Feyenoord beat Porto by a single goal. Similarly, if we win in Rotterdam but lose to YB at Ibrox we could also go out if Porto won both their last 2 games by decent margins. Thankfully there are many more scenarios where 3 points from the last 2 games would be enough, but it makes me nervous and I really think we need at least a point from Feyenoord game to feel comfortable going into the last game. It would leave us all hollow if we didn’t make it through now. That said, I do have confidence in the team, albeit very quiet confidence - whatever that means...
