Your opinion, Stato, and you're entitled to it. But I don't agree. For me, we can do a lot better. We didn't play high enough, we weren't making the right decisions, gave the ball away too often, were too slow, and we were lucky to come away with 3 points. Of course, the result is great, 3 points and puts pressure on them tomorrow. But, again, surprised that you thought our performance was so complete.

Phew😅 thank god for Kent! One touch too many, should be keeping it simple, but he gets my MOTM for his persistence which paid off for us. Great pen by Roofe! 3 points, job done, but by duck we need to do better.

Hard to pick one as nobody was head and shoulders better than anyone else. Went for the artful dodger aka Kamara thought he was excellent at pickpocketing the Czecks all game.

Morelos needs to be playing a much higher line, and I think we saw that last night, which will down to Gio and Maakay. Morelos was playing too deep last season and this, and it's hindered him - and damaged his confidence. He is performs better as a central striker/poacher, where he can shoot on instinct. Let's hope that's now sorted.

Definitely should have scored more, Aribo should have had at least 2, Kent should have had 1, but we got what we needed. The main thing for me was that there was a different attitude out there. An urgency, willingness to fight hard for every ball, closing down players quicker, playing a higher line when needed - which benefited Morelos particularly. So a good start - Gio has had an instant effect in my opinion. Gerrard & co let standards slip, so this could well be the tonic we needed. We'll see but I'm now hopeful based on tonights performance.

When I view the forum on my phone, the ad at the bottom obscures the thread new replies alert which means I can't click to see the new replies and have to refresh the page instead. Not a biggy, but would be great if ads didn't cover the content/functions of the site.
