I didn’t say I disagreed with anything in your post. You may have a point. I hope it’s the players rather than GvBs style, time will tell. But we have a lot of players that clearly aren’t going to cut it. We need to sign one or two quality 1st team players in Jan otherwise we could fuck this season up, as if it’s not fucked up enough already with injuries, COVID Break, and bloody AFCON. There’s too much at stake this season to think GvB can win this league on his own.

Certainly was a rusty performance. Looked like a team that hadn’t played together before. Slack passing, no pressure (Alfie excepted), bad decision making. Perfect opportunity for a poor referee to influence things. I hope that is a catalyst to strengthen in January.

I watched the last few minutes and juts knew that was going to happen. You'd have thought they'd won the league, fans running onto the pitch. But you know it doesn't matter what they do. We just keep the pressure on by doing what we're doing.

Yeah, he’s definitely kicked on under Gio. Maybe not back to his prime but hope he will be. I saw that Aribo was sponsors MOTM and also RangersTV MOTM but Alfie gets it for me. Great movement for his goal and pin perfect pass for the second. His passing was pretty accurate all game too.

What a scam by UEFA really. The seeds should have been the 4 best EL group runners up and the 4 best 3rd place CL drop outs. So it was impossible for us to be unseeded and the CL drop outs to be seeded. I suspect UEFA fully intended it to be that way pairing the CL teams with the runners up of the lesser competition, in the hope they keep the biggest names alive in the EL. Can't believe I have just cottoned on to this. It will be interesting to see how many 'seeded' teams get through to the last 16. Maybe 1 or 2 out of 8. That said, I prefer a glamour tie anyway, would have taken Barca, but Dortmund will do. I hope all the seeded teams win and a GIRFUY to UEFA. (Well, apart from Sheriff, hope they progress).

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I may not have been paying attention. How did we end up with the hardest draw when we were seeded? What was the benefit of being seeded?

Okay, I’ll bite….. 1. Morelos 8m 2. Kent 15m 3. Kamara 12m by the way I like all three, especially Kent. I’d have preferred to sell Alfie when there was an alleged 16m on the table for him, but I wouldn’t buy him for half of that so, that’s what I feel I’d let him go for. Kent is worth 15m at least and Kamara much the same maybe a bit less. We already have Roofe\Sakala to compensate the first two and Jack who feels like a new signing to replace Kamara. 35m for all three would kick start our PTM. Tin hat time.

I voted for Sakala, just all round awesome. Had he scored, I think he’d have been the popular MOTM vote. I like the partnership with Morelos, two complete opposites, but I could also get excited by a Roofe-Sakala duo.
