My only caveat is that this is also our best hope of having a successful player trading model i.e. if one or two are good enough for a run in the first team, the likelihood is that they won't become first team regulars, they'll be sold as soon as a good offer comes in, like with Patterson. Which is also fine.

If true, that just doesn't make sense. How can Helander be more match fit than Ramsey? And if Ramsey is just missing match fitness, then he needs game time and what better game to give him a start in than Annan???? I think Ramsey starts Saturday, I'll be very surprised if not.

But the question to you was "do you think the dropped points in those three games was because we were playing two games per week?" I don't think that was the issue. I haven't seen anyone use that as an excuse for the bad form in those games. I could also reference a run of games where we took almost maximum points playing twice per week for many weeks. My point is that I don't think there's a silver lining or benefit to our league hopes in dropping out of Europe, unless we lose several key players to injury due to EL games.

Not so sure that losing in Europe helps us in the league. In fact, on the contrary, two games a week keeps us sharp and focused, especially with quality opposition to keep us on our game. So long as we keep injuries at bay. I recall that we do not do well playing once a week, we do not do well with winter breaks, we enjoy momentum and continuity.

I struggled to see how he made that goal. The speed at which he took the touch and angled it passed Gordon was absolutely incredible. What a composed finish. Another who deserves a run in the team.

Morelos for his overall play which was excellent including the goals. Jack, Lundstram, Arfield were very good as were Kamara and Sakala when they came on, but Kent deserved a big shout out and if he had taken one of the opportunities that skimmed the post, he could have been co-MOTM.

I think he needs to start. I get that nobody deserved to be dropped, but we cant be paying 2.5m loan fee for Ramsey to be thrown on for the last 10mins to try salvage a win. So I hope he gets a starting spot very soon.

I dunno mate, I can't see them dropping points, so we need to stay with them all the way. I could be wrong, but I still think it's more likely that we drop further behind. Today has given me some optimism though (we need to avoid covid and injuries and hopefully no more ridiculous Colombian call ups).

So lads, how are we feeling after a few days to digest and reflect since the shambles on Wednesday? I want to see changes, that's the first thing. I guess we'll see Balogun in at CB and Basset back into his natural position at LB and Barisic training with the youths (with any luck). Then we need to see Jack starting, Ramsey starting and Aribo behind the forwards. I don't think Gio will replace Tav with the new boy, but I'd love it if he does. I expect to see Sakala and Diallo flank Morelos up front. Expect Greegsy to stay in the team but I'd prefer to start phasing him out as the season goes on. This is his last season, no debate. More than selection and formation, we need to see intensity and desire from the off, moving the ball quickly and smartly when in possession and pressing high, closing them down when out of possession. Just the basic fucking things we should be doing as a Rangers team. I'm so excited to see Ramsey tomorrow, it will bring a little bounce to my step pre-match that I may not have had otherwise.
