Could've been better, could've been worse. Lucky second goal keeps us in the tie, but will be a tough ask next week and we'll need to play a lot better. Our first goal was a sublime team goal so there I have some belief.

Better today. We're clicking more with each passing game and the squad just feels much more robust with everyone making an impact. Tuesday will be a big test, but the performance today should give us a little more confidence.

Tillman and Lawrence were the stand outs for me, but agree that it wasn't a pretty performance and everyone could have played better. Borna may have provided the crosses that we profited from, but neither cross was of any quality, we scored due to opposition errors. Great result but performance level needs to improve dramatically and we need to cut out the poor passing - better or even similar teams would have punished us.

I'd have Matondo starting, he's the most likely to create opportunities for Colak on the right, and gives us another dimension over and above what Tav already brings.

Unfortunately, I agree. We have started slowly this season so it would be improbable that we can suddenly attain the levels we know we can. Morelos will be given minutes late on when we are still chasing a result, I suspect, and I dont see Colak getting the service or chances as Union pack their defence tonight.

Formations are important to counter opposition tactics, the right players in the right positions helps us carry out specific game plans, however for me the MOST important aspect to whether we are successful or not is the players being up for it, being hungrier than the opposition, laying their bodies on the line for the team, working as a unit and believing in themselves and keeping their composure when opportunities present themselves.

A lot of positives from last night. If we could only learn to play out more we would be more productive and create more chances and limit the dangers in our own box.
