  1. I can see the rationale for dropping Hagi at Celtic park but for most games Morelos is the one who deserves to be dropped for Itten or Roofe, not Hagi. Hagi leads the league in assists, from far less game time than our other creative players. He has proven end product.
  2. They must have one of the best negotiators in the world.
  3. I had a post on this a few weeks ago. The expected goals stats tell the same story, which proves it is no fluke. These are very good signs. And you have to give a bit of credit to Hibs, they have a go on their own ground unlike others. I don't know what Celtic's stats are like, but I know they broke their record for the lowest ever expected goals when they dropped points to Kilmarnock.
  4. Most will disagree but I think Itten should get a run in the team. We haven’t seen a huge amount of him, but he’s been better than Morelos in his last few appearances and deserves a chance before he is competing with Roofe too.
  5. He has to stick by him because he has only just signed him. I’m sure he is decent technically but they will be far more vulnerable away from home with this guy playing than Taylor, who for all the stick he gets is actually a good defender.
  6. So many good performances. I actually thought the back four were all brilliant. Davis made loads of interceptions and controlled things. Arfield made that second goal. Yet again he provides a real creativity from midfield which is just great to see. We play some great stuff at times when Arfield is involved, he loves a quick one two. Kent played his role very well in the system, when the opposition have the ball he is second to none, works his socks off and defends from the front. The impact of that can easily be underestimated. On the ball I thought he lacked end product. Man of the match though is Kamara. Imperious. And the best thing is that this wasn't a one off, he has looked outstanding in all our big games this season. Fantastic to see after his stock fell badly among the support at the beginning of this year.
  7. Letting them have the ball in that area actually compounds their frustration and, imo, has a big impact psyhcologically. As soon as you saw them pinging passes out of play under next to no pressure you knew their heads were gone and we were winning the game.
  8. The man himself confirmed this on Twitter. Duffy tweeted a Brighton fan to say Celtic were paying all his wages. I had heard it was 45k but I don't know. Duffy played 91 games in the EPL over three seasons and, on paper, looked a good signing. In that context, you have to give credit to our scouts who unearthed Filip Helander from mid table Serie A at the beginning of last season. Winning the recruitment battle is a huge part of overtaking Celtic and establishing ourselves as the best team in the country again.
  9. Credit where it’s due, no excuses and no nonsense from Sportscene tonight. They gave us full credit and did a good job of showing how good we were. It helps that McCann was on. But Michael Stewart had actually predicted a 2-0 win for us.
  10. I think I will watch Sportscene tonight ?
  11. Agree with all of this except only two of our players being at their best. I think quite a few barely put a foot wrong.
  12. Couldn’t agree more. They didn’t have a single shot on target, that was domination and that was not down to them missing a couple of attacking players. I am increasingly confident in this coaching team.
  13. When was the last time we won at Parkhead twice in a row?
  14. A bit unrealistic that they’ve kept the singing on isn’t it?? ?
  15. I’d like to see Itten come on for Morelos sooner rather than later tbh. And Hagi for Barker. Granted the lack of pace isn’t great for a game like this but, but there is a big difference in quality between the players too.
  16. Rumours Jullien is out. If true, they have a selection headache and surely won’t go 3-5-2 after all
  17. “And Sutton insisted all the pressure is on Rangers because of the depleted Celtic squad but McCoist was having none of it as they went head-to-head on BT Sport. Sutton said: "In terms of the selection opportunities for Steven Gerrard, he has essentially a full squad to pick from. "Celtic are heavily, heavily depleted.” “Celtic boss Neil Lennon says today’s massive game won’t define the season. I’m sorry to disagree with my old teammate, but it definitely could. If Rangers lose it, they won’t recover. Psychologically, it would be a huge blow for Steven Gerrard’s team.” (Sutton again) As I expected, Celtic have their media men pushing this narrative to put the pressure on us, total nonsense.
