I think Sakala will cause them more problems anyway.
He certainly has the potential to. Morelos has often struggled against Celtic.

From the little I seen, yes. It was an decent start for him.
He was not necessarily the MotM, but I thought the whole team were poor, so I plucked for him.
A tough first game. I thought there were promising signs with his forward passing, need to see more of course.

Goldson for me, did really well.
I thought Morelos had a very good first half but tired in the second and didn’t do much to get us up the park.1 -
@Rousseau impressed by Sands?

In a tight title race, missing key men to South American, African and Asian international football could make the difference in where the title goes. With Celtic now affected by this too with Furuhashi, Rogic, Hatate and Maeda, I’d be taking this into account in our recruitment.

Aberdeen having more possession and twice as many shots at goal is quite depressing, particularly as they're a mid-table side.
I'm hoping GvB isn't happy with that at all.
If it helps, the expected points table has them headed for 3rd 😀

We need one of the three above in the team.
I think it is only fair to point out that we have had very similar performances with all three in the team in the past.
There have been a few, but a 2-1 loss at Tynecastle against a woeful, bottom of the league Hearts side with Sibbick and Irving in centre mid comes to mind. We had a midfield three of Kamara, Davis and Jack and a forward three of Aribo, Kent and Morelos in that game.
We finished the game with only 50% possession and only 2 shots on target. We also had 11 men for the whole game and conceded two proper, open-play goals and not just a gift of a penalty.

One of the more worrying things was our mangers inability to see how things were developing and change the setup.
Must do better.
I thought that too really. It didn’t seem like anything was done to change things tactically.
In terms of the subs I thought Lundstram for Wright was an overly defensive sub and, I think Sakala would have made it easier for us to breakaway and provide some relief, as well as closing them down higher up the park. Morelos looked knackered by that point too and a fresh Itten would have contributed more. These things wouldn’t have solved the performance but I thought it was clear we needed to freshen the front players up and make sure we still had a breakaway threat.

I’m struggling to put my finger on why that was so bad.

Surely we’ll appeal.
Can’t appeal a double yellow.

Does Kent miss the game against that lot?
Livingston. On tonight’s performance I have no issue with Sakala getting an opportunity.

A bit awkward when Clancy see the blood streaming down Barisic’s face. “Aaah so he did elbow you in the face. Sorry about that, never mind. You have to go off the pitch for this last minute free kick now though.”

Sakala should have been on far earlier. Lundstram for Wright was an invitation for Aberdeen to keep attacking.

Seriously what is it with us at Pittodrie? Manager after manager, we get the same scrappy rubbish. Celtic go up there and canter to easy wins.

Should have had Itten on ages ago, Morelos dead on his feet.

There won’t be a softer double yellow all season, no question about it.

Clancy absolutely determined to get a player suspended tonight. Absolutely ridiculous.

Kent hasn’t done much right in this half. Keeps losing it.

How the heck is that a yellow for Kent. Clancy determined to card all our players here. Absolute nonsense.
1 -
No excuse for not getting Sakala on now, come on!

What a rubbish way to lose a goal.

Much more defensive sub than I expected. Not sure about that.

I expect he’ll sign for between £250k and £500k. Helander has ongoing injury problems and Souttar is arguably a better player than Balogun (who has his own injury issues). There’s a decent chance Simpson will leave too.
