  1. I’ve just looked back at his injury record and it’s frightening. His last season free of muscular injuries was 12/13. From 13/14 onwards his seasons look a lot like Ryan Jack/Roofe. Like those players it would be about getting a big contribution out of him before the inevitable injury comes.
  2. Unfortunately I think Veerman knew PSV were coming for him so the fee didn’t matter in the end. They got a real bargain but it just shows the advantage these teams have playing in stronger leagues and able to pick up guys like that so easily.
  3. The talk of us paying 2 million odd is more realistic, it would be essentially like a loan fee. It's a lot of money for someone who's only played 114 minutes all season though, our playing schedule is very heavy.
  4. 2 million would be a hefty price to pay for someone who hasn't been fit to play all season to be honest.
  5. Another very reliable journalist running with it. Confirmations on what is written by @LeonettiFrank : #Rangers are interested in #Ramsey's loan until the end of the season. The Glasgow club, for the moment, is interested in paying 2 of the 3.5 million received up to June, let's see if there will be any news.
  6. I'm not surprised though. I really don't think Hearts want to sell at anything like a reasonable price.
  7. Ooft! There was a guy on FF adamant he was a close family friend and that it was done. That's a bit disappointing.
  8. Have you looked at his season so far? It was only when I did that I actually started to wonder if there could be something in this. If I was Leeds, Newcastle I wouldn't be going near him.
  9. The McAtee deal has gone quite, there's talk of Man City pulling the plug on it. If they have, and we're back out in the market for a centre midfielder, and all of Ramsay's proposed loan deals have come to nothing, who knows. He's barely played in a very long time though, to be honest fitness would be a big concern.
  10. These three points really show how much risk is built into our team. Pre-season I said the big risks to our season are injuries to Helander, Jack and Roofe, because all three are very important players but with serious injury problems. And like clockwork they all picked up pretty serious injuries. It's a really unfortunate situation to be in, but hopefully they all play their part from now on.
  11. Tuttosport have put it on their website too. They have 585k Twitter followers. No idea if they would post stuff like that from people on Twitter. It just makes no sense. The only way he joins us is if all the EPL clubs linked to him have looked at his injury record and game time and said no thanks and Juve are just desperate for him to play football and happy to cover his wages. https://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/serie-a/juventus/2022/01/31-89381753/juventus_ore_decisive_per_ramsey_ai_rangers
  12. Simpson on loan very likely I’d have thought. Lundstram on loan a possibility. Might depend on McAtee. I don’t think we’ll lose anyone we don’t want to.
  13. I watched highlights of about 7-8 Lechia Gdańsk games to see what the Polish right back was like. Very much an attacking right back, looks very ropey defensively tbh. Highlights only show your failures as a defender of course. And he’s only 20 so plenty time to improve.
  14. Someone on FF claiming Souttar is done, and is fit for Wednesday. The finances involved in that one will be very interesting.
  15. No different to us, does that mean we aren’t a good side? We aren’t even scraping past them, we’ve drawn to two in the past few games while they have beaten Hearts, Hibs and Dundee United despite their team being decimated by injuries and call ups. We should absolutely be beating them given the players they have missing though, no excuses.
  16. Admittedly we don’t know how long it will be. But Balogun and Helander will return to fitness as some point. Sands has far more experience playing there and might get the nod now that there is an excuse to drop Bassey for the first time, who still deserves credit for his efforts out of position. And there is still a slim chance Souttar will sign.
  17. It's incredible what it did to a lot of our fans anyway. Staggering complacency from a large number.
  18. There is reason for concern (mentality mainly), but I think emotions are taking over a wee bit. We scored 3 goals today. Diallo looks like an excellent signing, capable of playing a huge part in the run-in. Aribo is back and is easily our best player. If Jon McLaughlin starts today we only concede 1, surely GVB can see that he should take over now and that will be another position strengthened. I have been saying that all season so that’s not a knee jerk reaction either. Bassey won't be at CB much longer either. Psychologically, today is a blow. But we have very good players returning and hopefully today showed GVB that MacGregor can't be trusted as number 1 anymore.
  19. Sakala has impressed, albeit his end product is questionable. He is more dangerous than Kent at the moment by quite a bit. With regards to goals, I don’t think he’s the best finisher but his goals per minute is very good, the best we have in the league this season if you don’t count Roofe’s penalties. So I wouldn’t count goals against him at the moment.
  20. The problem with that thesis is that Sakala hasn’t been fancied by GVB at all since he came in. Even after a MOM performance he gets dropped and only comes on because of an injury. It doesn’t seem likely.
  21. McGregor needs relieved of number 1 duties. It’s not his first poor performance either. You just can’t legislate for his two howlers today.
