I think he'll be fantastic addition to the squad, certainly as good as we could get for someone who won't be guaranteed a start every game.

I am not interested in listening to it but Celtic supporters want to talk about Celtic and negative things about Rangers not positive. I will be honest I couldn't fill 3 minutes about facts over Celtic.
Just to clarify I only listened to the Rangers section. However Steven Thompson and Billy Dodds are not Celtic fans, they were very positive and genuinely enthusiastic about Rangers. Seems to me it's the editors and people higher up who are to blame.

Leegue fixtures that follow EL
20 September: Group stage, matchday one
St.Johnstone (H)
4 October: Group stage, matchday twoHearts (H)
25 October: Group stage, matchday threeHibs (A)
8 November: Group stage, matchday fourMotherwell (H)
29 November: Group stage, matchday fiveHearts (A)
13 December: Group stage, matchday sixHamilton (H)
Only 2/6 are tough so I'd say that's pretty favourable. Celtic's games are very similar with one away game but slightly easier opposition.
What will be interesting now is whether we get home or away games prior to those away Edinburgh games.

By the way, there is endless discussion about Morelos’s temper but Dembele has completely lost his head this morning in a way that Morelos would get crucified by the media for

In terms of how to deal with it, I think you could easily have a no tolerance penalty system in place for offences which are an automatic yellow such as;
- Kicking the ball away
- Taking off shirt
- Kicking a player off the ball
That penalty would be known to everybody so there can be absolutely no complaints. I'm not sure how severe the penalty could be without being a player's union issue. You could possibly include stupid unnecessary professional fouls in there too like pulling a player back when he's not even in our half.
If that doesn't stop those kind of easily avoidable yellows what will?

I'd like Sevilla or Betis and no long trips to Russia or Asia.
Yes I'd be Scandinavian teams like Copenhagen and Malmo. Quarabag are easily one of the easier teams in pot 3 despite their coefficient though.
Will Morelos and Flanagan be suspended for the first game? Is it only yellow cards that are wiped? Amazing that we shouldn't even be badly affected anymore if they are such is the depth of the squad with Barisic and Lafferty coming in.

Looks like it's worked out perfectly.
Celtic publicly announce they've rejected a big bid and he's going nowhere.
Dembele publicly tweets his frustration and implies he had given Lyon his word.
I'm not expecting a particularly fruitful 6 months for Dembele before the next transfer window opens.
It really does seem the tide of good and bad luck has started to turn. For so long it seemed that kind of stuff was only happening to us,

What an exciting draw. Copenhagen pulled off the shock of the round putting out Atalanta, which makes pot 2 look a bit better for us. Dudelange (and Progres) showing Europe that teams from Luxembourg are now serious opponents. They've had a remarkable run.
I'm hoping for; Anderlecht, Ludogorets, Malmo, Rangers
What I expect; Chelsea, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, Rangers

Just listened to it. The section on Rangers was absolutely fine and very positive. But who is the editor who chose to give us a fraction of the timeslot Celtic got? They described our result as a remarkable achievement along with many other superlatives, but a routine win over some diddies from Lithuania get more than 4 times more discussion, bizarre.

No way?
Again, as far as I know they claim the only change in their relationship to Rangers is that they don’t send reporters to Ibrox. That is so dishonest. It really sounds like a Celtic fans forum podcast listening to sportsound after a Celtic game.

Seeing a few headlines saying we “scraped through”. I wonder if we’re the first team ever to “scrape through” with a 2 goal cushion?

Just seeing the replay, Ufa's defenders diving yet again to bail themselves out in the lead up to Morelos's first yellow

Aaaaand Gerrard is still unbeaten ?

Cheats!!! ?

Kent looked dangerous one minute and almost scored, the next he makes a terrible decision not to play in Lafferty and Ufa counter attack

Kent's persistent desire to cut in is only really a problem when he plays with Flanagan, because neither wants to cross from the byline. If Kent plays with Barisic , who obviously has a wicked cross, it could be very effective.
I agree that would make a difference. Can't help but wonder what McKay would be like with Barisic, his partnership on the left with Wallace brought out the best in him with his passing range.

I did say I hope Kent starts producing more in the final 3rd, way too often he just turns inside, which is fine if he makes a killer pass or hits the target!. He needs to up his game otherwise he may find himself getting edged out with young Middleton!.
I'd like to think so but Kent seems to be a favourite of the gaffer. There's also the small matter of staying in Liverpool's good books.
Kent suits the pressing game well though and does offer plenty to the team, my problem is his lack of end product too. In a recent press conference he was saying he wants to have more to show for his effort in terms of goals and assists but I think that's going to be difficult as long as he insists on running towards the centre all the time. Middleton for me is much more likely to get an assist because of the way he tries to get round the outside and in behind the full backs.

Is it a loan or an actual signing?
Far too expensive for us unfortunately. By the time his loan is up he'll only have another year left on his deal though so who knows. He's a homegrown boy though who wouldn't take leaving NF lightly.

The fees mentioned vary wildly but the most common number seems to be £15m.
Tbh I'd have rathered he stayed because his value would continue to decrease as his contract ran down and his performances continued to stagnate.
On the other hand they don't have much time left in the window to find a replacement and if they don't find a replacement he's going nowhere and they have one unhappy boy on their hands.
Good pre for the old firm.

Rangers could still sign Dominic Solanke before Friday’s transfer deadline but Steven Gerrard needs one thing to happen to be able to complete a late swoop
I think this is speculation. Goes against what Gerrard has said. Only way it could be true is if Gerrard has changed his mind on formation and want to be playing with 2 strikers. If so we'd be a striker short.

Eros Grezda: dribble merchant or anologue enigma?
Steven Gerrard is set to announce his thirteenth signing of the summer with NK Osijek winger and Albanian international Eros Grezda joining for a fee believed to be in excess of £2m.

Very detailed article on Grezda. The video on there is better than any I’ve found on YouTube too. What a signing by Allen and his team. They’re building something big here and turning the club around with prospects like this. I predict we’ll be breaking our record transfer fee received in the next few years.

Joe Worrall is due at Rangers for a medical on Thursday after the Ibrox side agreed a loan fee with Nottingham Forest.
Steven Gerrard has described the England Under-21 defender as a “fantastic” player after watching him six times last year.
The Rangers boss made personal contact with Forest over the weekend to assure the Championship outfit Worall will feature regularly in Scotland.
Gerrard is anxious to bolster his backline after a 3-3 draw at Motherwell on Sunday.
Rangers are now set to finalise a season-loan loan for the 21-year-old stopper before Friday's deadline and the defender travelled north on Wednesday.
Rangers also considered free agent Gareth McAuley and Aston Villa's Tommy Elphick to shore up their backline.
But Worrall, who has made 49 Championship starts, is Gerrard's first choice.
Forest are trying to recoup cash after paying over £20million for 11 new players this summer.
Worrall will be available for Sunday's clash with Celtic but is unlikely to feature after not playing this term having slipped to fifth choice centre-back at the City Ground under Aitor Karanka.

Tomorrow could be a big day for Ross McCrorie. He seems an obvious defensive substitution to make later in the game, maybe for Ejaria or Arfield. Especially if we are having to defend set pieces.
And yet again our opponents have been mouthy, shown us no respect and made Gerrard’s team talk easy for him.
