Quite excited to see Kamara come in. His ability on the ball in the middle of the park will be very welcome. Shinnie apparently likely to join Wigan. I think on a free Shinnie would provide excellent cover at left back and centre mid but I think we'd have moved by now and I'm not sure he'd be keen with how much abuse Jack has had from that lot. -

Looks like Worrall will probably be recalled, but Gerrard and the club have been clever in playing him often enough to trigger a clause that means we need to be reimbursed our loan fee. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/transfer-news/martin-oneill-wants-joe-worrall-2433771 -
Premier sports are rubbish. Bad app, bad website. I had troubling airplaying to my tv too. And a strict 1 device policy

I think the much more traditional Martin O'Neill will fancy Worrall and want him back. Time will tell but I think it'll be a concern for Gerrard because he clearly rates him higher than most on here. -

Ravel Morrison has Northern Irish roots, he’s probably just following the club. He’d be an interesting one on a free in the summer but his compilation on YouTube from atlas last season reminds you of ejaria, does something sublime and then plays the most simple and pointless pass possible. -
I like having full backs and wingers but I actually think the wing isn’t our strongest position right now and with Defoe in the team it’s going to be very hard to justify playing Candeias/Kent ahead of him. I don’t think Kent is suited to the AMC role. He’s just not good enough at passing or shooting, he’s an out and out winger. It’s made for Murphy/Dorrans if they were fit. Until they are I’d prefer Arfield there with McCrorie the anchor and Jack pushed forward one. Having said that there would be times when you’d want the pace of Kent or Middleton to add that dimension to our play. In any case I’d certainly relish seeing us start a game with such an attacking lineup.

You have to wonder why it seems everyone except those in the club knew about Football Manager during the 2011-2015 years. They bemoaned our lack of a scouting department and largely stuck to Sportscene scouting. -

I avoid HITC and the growing list of similar clickbait websites which fit your description but over the last few transfer windows I've found the Daily Record to be reliable. -

Really? The Daily Record reported the Bryson link. I think they're normally pretty reliable. Although in terms of the squad we have it would definitely be surprising. -

Hasn't been mentioned on here much but we're still being linked to Craig Bryson and Martin Skrtel too as well as Ben Woodburn. Not overly enthused by the first two due to age and wages. I haven't seen much of Woodburn. -

Aren't they making things more difficult than it needs to be though when all you have to do is go and buy the latest Football Manager? ? I still think Coulibaly is good at this role. He largely went off the boil when he was asked to play further up the field and predictably struggled. I blame Gerrard for that one I'm afraid. The silver lining is that as a result Coulibaly's value hasn't risen much you wouldn't think so I'd still consider signing him because he has a lot of ability a destroyer and is very young. I wouldn't say Kamara is a destroyer type from what I've seen. He's the opposite of Coulibaly, very technically gifted and strong in possession and even playing through balls. He has the ability to get into a tackle but it doesn't seem to be his strength. I seem him being a good player to have when we are at home and need our centre midfielders to be good in possession and creating something. -

It’s a shame we never brought Dobbie to Rangers. 32 goals in 27 games at his age is incredible. What a guy. -

I think tiredness was used by our fans as an excuse for poor performances and a failing team set up. We only played one more game than the rest of our opponents in December (bar Celtic) who have far leaner squads than ours. -

Absolutely. When you think about how many international breaks there are too it’s really not necessary. Only makes for a very stop start league season. -

Gerrard apparently said incomings will be dependent on outgoings though. So far we've only managed to shift Herrera. There are still loads of players who should be moved on to free up, including Foderingham and even Wallace if we're not going to use him. -

Falkirk look like they are creating hardly any chances this season though so it's not easy to compare directly with Hardie. It must be frustrating for Rudden to be playing for a team who are so poor in the final third but he's certainly making the most of it. -

Great to see he's doing so well at such a young age and receiving praise like that. Falkirk are the lowest scoring team in the league with 17 goals in 20 games. Rudden has played only 15 but scored 7 of those 17 goals. It's fantastic stuff for an 18 year old and what we'd expect from an academy player who is on his way to being a first team player. -

He's a far better player and his goals and assists stats with Dundee and Kilmarnock show it. He's only had one not impressive season in Scotland and it's no surprise it came with Aberdeen with the kind of football they played last season. -

I'd start him ahead of Candeias in most league games in a heartbeat. Largely freed of defensive duties and given freedom to attack in a forward 3 I think you'd see him flourish like Aluko did when he joined from Aberdeen. He's turned defences inside out this season and we lack a left footed playmaker player cutting in from the right that would give us balance. Jones' strength is counter attacking, running onto the ball. Stewart's strength is gliding past defenders and slicing them open with through balls, not to mention finishing. Having said all that there's no suggestion it's happening so not much point in debating it further. -

One more talking point, could Grezda's injury force us back into the transfer market? Does it force Gerrard's hand in attempting to bring Jones here straight away, or make us look at other options? It certainly leaves us light in wide areas if we play 4-3-3. With 3-5-2 a stronger option it could be that it's judged that we don't need as much depth on the wing anymore.
