I luv football fans - rewind 24hrs and it was a sh1t window, nobody had signed, board and Wilson were dragging their heels.
24hrs later ans we've still not signed anyone, but a few internet rumours and everyone is on cloud 9 😉
Not sure if you mean me but I wasn’t saying those things. And Cantwell is confirmed by Romano and other good sources, it’s a matter of time. Raskin still a rumour but from an apparently reliable journalist in Belgium.

Is Raskin not more of a bulldog? I do hope so 🙏🏻
Very good in defensive duels, but silky on the ball. Can carry the ball and very good at forward passing. Weaknesses are he is hopeless in the air and doesn’t score many.

Cantwell and Raskin would add a lot of much needed creativity. This could be a very good window.

Someone at the training centre apparently. Rumoured to be Cantwell.

@DMAA and @der Berliner in tears...
If there’s a time of the year I want Kent to catch form it’s during the January transfer window. Don’t sign anything yet Ryan 😀

I think DMAA means when Wright was at Aberdeen...
Yeh, I said before we signed him. Not sure what’s confusing.

Beale has ruled out Tom Davies. Said Whittaker is a player we know and like but no update to give.

Wright has always had that in his locker. Just watch his run against Celtic in the 3-3 draw at Pittodrie before we signed him, a great run. But he still isn’t good enough.

The Krstovic deal must be close.
From Wikipedia:
"Nikola Krstović (Cyrillic: Никола Крстовић; born 5 April 2000) is a Montenegrin professional footballer who plays as a striker for DAC Dunajská Streda of the Fortuna Liga. He is considered to be one of the most promising young talents in Montenegro. He agreed a 5 year contract with Rangers in 2023, in his announcement he thanked wee Ross Wilson and declared he wanted a home with no pope of Rome.[1]"

I’m not convinced on Whittaker. Looks a decent player with good potential but I’m just not sure he gets into our team. His goal scoring and passing and vision look very good, and that goes a long way. It depends on what money we are talking about. I would like us to sign a proper dribbler and goalscorer on the right side, but maybe that’s unrealistic or not a top priority.

I’ve seen this guy mentioned too, Krstovic. Looks the right profile. Difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff in the Slovakian league, but his stats are off the scale.

Cantwell would be an exciting signing tbh. He's the type of player I tend I have a soft spot, with a particularly high technical ability. There's always a catch and I don't watch their games, but it seems he's struggling with end product and impacting games. However that kind of flair player is the type who can thrive in the type of games we have and who we haven't had enough of in recent years, and imo it's one of the reasons Celtic have been well ahead of us in chance creation.

The fact that we're all disappointed with a draw, despite playing so poorly for part of the game, is a huge positive.
I think it’s clear Beale has had an impact. That was clear before today, but even more so now. It doesn’t change the fact that I feel totally gutted that we have let an big opportunity to beat them slip through our fingers though.

That was so frustrating. They weren’t creating anything and yet you knew they’d score. I don’t think we are good enough to win the league, and yet if we’d held on you could allow yourself just to hope a good transfer window could turn things around.

Like I said, matter of time before we score 😄

Why can't we make a simple 5-yard pass?
It's inexplicable.
It’s a whole team thing. The movement of the whole team isn’t there. Watch Celtic and they’ve been properly coached, they know the pass they want to play before they receive it and they are working for each other so they always have options. We look like we are just improvising all the time.

We've created more chances, for me.
And we've still been sh*te.
100% this. It’s genuinely embarrassing how much better they are than us on the ball. And yet we’ve been able to “create” chances by introducing as much chaos into the game as possible.
Morelos should come off asap. I’d never play him against Celtic tbh.

Good to see Lowry get a start

Beale showing that he isn’t one to have his favourites and stick with them no matter what. Morelos, Jack and McGregor dropped after poor performances. Also, rightly rewarding Arfield. The changes in central defence make it a much stronger starting 11 than we have seen in recent times. Still not exactly oozing with quality and on-form players, so it will be a very interesting test.

Had a look at the stats on Sofascore and FotMob just out of interest. They give player ratings based purely on stats.
They had Goldson and Tillman as the best performers. One thing I notice about Tillman’s stats every time is he performs very well in duels.
The worst performers were Jack, Sands and McGregor. Devine actually scored low too.

Oh, really?
I remember reading about when he signed and I recall him playing right in a back three.
Maybe that was just the author's judgement on his best position?
He definitely suits playing further forward (CDM) or with cover.
Right of the back 3 had been his position up until the few months before we signed him. At the time of signing him the talk was that it was as a DM who can also cover at the back, with Davis and Jack ageing.
For a relatively small fee I would probably take Sands. I find him quite error prone in defence tbh. The kind of guy who seems to have more bad luck than others.

He did set up the winner.
It’s the second game in a row he has set up the winner with a piece of brilliant individual skill. He may need to improve his all round game but the goal-creating ability is there for all to see.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. Michael Beale does comebacks folks! Delighted with that. And really delighted we haven’t given them the satisfaction as well! Taking points off us is what they live for.

Yeh, the Raskin rumour especially is a bit of a game changer. If we get that over the line in this window then Wilson’s approval ratings will take a jump.
