  1. Yes but Ross Mathie said: "They were better in all departments.." And we supplied the bulk of the squad.....shouldn't we really have got over the Scottish traits that lead to failure by now? Full size pitches, offside, tall guys as defenders etc....excuses won't wash now surely? We've had years, decades, of not being anywhere near the top teams in youth development. When do we try and close the gap?
  2. Scotland lost 2-1 to Holland last night, and our team featured many young bears (5 I think)....yet even the coach Ross Mathie admitted that Holland were better in all departments. Do we sometimes mistake our youth system 'getting better' with it being 'very good already'? Scottish clubs have suffered for years from setting their own standards low, and basically aiming at other Scottish clubs....are we copying Ajax, or are we simply trying to beat ra shellik..... Should we be worried that our youngsters appear still to be sruggling in terms of touch, composure and passing? Isn't that what we were promiserd from the Auchenhowie revamp?
  3. Calscot The problems people have are that the undue haste employed to force Alan H and Cousin out the door are not related to team strengthening, long term planning or 'chasing a dream'. They are related to SDM wanting his £12m back, the £12m of the 'revolving credit facility' we've used which is due to be repaid in March 2008. The hangover from the years of mismanagement is not being cured, despite what people are saying. AH would have been sold in May, the nonsense about us not receiving any other offers even again cannot be believed, and we may have won SPL. The deal satisfied SDM, not the fans. We were never going to re-invest the £9m, and that is what sticks in my craw.
  4. I agree - not all RST members are in gersave, let alone all fans...and yet they moan about "only £50,000"......
  5. The £15m 'rolling credit facility' was at £12m and had to be paid back in March. mmmmm...ever get cynical? ;-)
  6. RST has had almost 6,000 pass through (not all active members)...if they all paid £10 then it would £60,000 per month, £720,000 per year.....that would be better, yes? Add in the 'high net worth fans' and we'd have club within 5 years....but too many involved at our club moan, and stand apart...too few get their hands dirty.
  7. I can't understand why Hutton money wouldn't have been fine in May...with SPL title won. That guarantees £10m. Unless.....SDM has some people sniffing round? Heard any rumours?!
  8. We have no quality up front....I would start naismith and Burkem, seriously. Someone like Boyd will be marked easily and McCulloch has no finesse...our hope may be nimble players, hard to mark, with pace.
  9. It is a gamble mate......Minty has assumed that the four point gap is enough. I got banned for attacking the thing that worries me most, our fans lowered expectations. An FFer suggested that SDM having a good transfer window was 'crucial' as he was the owner, and that if we finsihed 2nd it was 'fine, we have qualifying rounds to try and go for'. That scares me rigid......what if the sullen, silent 80% move from disinterest to actively lowering their expectations, hopes..what if we as a support stop dreaming?
  10. I have some worries; will Davis play? He should....C Adam is not what we need. We have no creativity, and never really will under Walter. My fear is that the gamble to sell players and hope we win league anyway might fail....winning ugly depends on winning, yes? We are watching stodgy sh**, and 2nd place in May will seem like last to this bear, and many others.
  11. We will face Pana with no quality up front....I fear the worst. Oh hi by the way...banned from FF temporarily, and found gersnet again (I have been on before).....
  12. After the transfer window situation the fans will not tolerate 2nd place in the league; SDM has nine lives but even he must know that this gamble must be won. CIS must be won now, no excuses SC is in the air, I felt we were poor against Hibs. Europe we have no chance as usual, as for decades we have failed to grasp the nettle and do what it takes to 'move forward' and be the kind of club that could challenge in Europe....we'll do well to beat Pana, and I wouldn't put a penny on us to beat Werder.
  13. Hi Two reasons: 1. Too many people think 'it won't help' but if everyone who felt like you did join then maybe it would make a difference? 2. The culprits here are the 'high net worth fans': none of these people has ever put a penny in, or openly backed RST, or dared suggest a consortium to unseat Murray..they do not have £30m but they each have the money if they pooled it. But ego, jealousy and 'I'd be Chairman...no I would be' are hindering attempts to move forward. Blame them.
  14. He said f*** all. "Stick together....Rangers family....give us time...." Same old, same old....vineyards worth £14m bought in last fortnight, we have no centre half worthy of the name, and no-one to lead the line in a 4-2-3-1 system. Also the money wasted over the years was OURS, not his own.
  15. Istvestia and Pravda look like open minded newspapers, full of dissent compared to our in-house pish. Alison on RTV: "So a home defeat to St Johnstone then....but we do have a feature on Chris Burke getting his hair cut, and some dogs in hats so stay tuned."
  16. If we can get money for him I'd take it. He flatters to deceive and like Huistra his final ball is extremely erratic....we would be better with Naismith from Killie who scores goals and has a very sweet left peg....his final ball is better, and we could get him for £1.2m or thereabouts.
  17. They fear ALL groups they don't control - I once wrote to them regarding 'rover tickets' and the loathing that came from the reply!! The idea of us mixing, talking and singing, and...gulp...forming radical opinions, is what they fear most. Come in, sit down, shut up, buy food, leave quietly....
  18. Was it another fan, or was it a deliberately 'created' letter to put pressure on TBO?
  19. I actually think he might believe some of this, when he says it.....but it is all forgotten 5 minutes later. Clearly in business no-one remembers past deals, but we do because we are always watching, always sniffing....it is our passion, our life. I honestly think he is puzzled, annoyed and saddened that we cross refer, hold him to account and recall previous lies.....
