  1. Of course not Bluedell but I'd rather he was honest rather than keep talking about all these investors. Maybe today's meeting will bring some more information.
  2. He wants our money. The £30m coming in July isn't enough.
  3. Jim writes that in most of his Facebook posts.
  4. The leak was not from the RST. We didn't know the name at the time, contact was through solicitors.
  5. That explains everything then.
  6. Copeland? Really?
  7. Don't you mean fishing?
  8. Yes, I saw him talking to SJ as I was leaving. I'd love to know how much his company has taken from the club over the last few years.
  9. Frankie, as someone who believed Craig Whyte, I'm probably not the best person to judge. He seemed reluctant to give out the numbers of people who had actually committed funds and well done to TB for pressing him. There's a saying about if something seems too good to be true then it probably isn't. I just don't know. Did he say it was Deloitte's that were working with him - the mystery men at the back?
  10. I think there is sufficient financial backing and where is the intention to reinstate the old board? It's the first I've heard of it.
  11. I'm not aware of the RST sending out an e-mail.
  12. Please show me one statement where the RST has claimed to speak for all Rangers fans. That would be impossible and nobody could ever claim that. We, as with all other supporters trusts, have always been clear on what our aims are and why shouldn't we support a bid if we feel it's in the best interests of the club? I don't believe that we have tried to discredit any other bidder although we did ask questions of the Bill Miller bid. To suggest our actions have in any way hindered our club's chances of survival is, quite frankly, ludicrous.
  13. I don't know how many times I have to say that the RST was not responsible for the banners. One of our Board was involved, as was Andy Smillie who paid for them. Having said that, American is not a race and the banners were aimed at the administrators as they were about to name the PB.
  14. Can you show me a photo of a banner saying that?
  15. This is correct. I've been to a few meetings recently where there have been reps from websites and organisations that supposedly hate each other but when everyone sits around the table everything is different - only Rangers matters.
  16. I will, but it is only my opinion. There are 20 people on the RST Board. Four are female and the rest male and probably about half are under 40. There is also a mix from professional people to students so we are all very different and the one thing we all have in common is a love for the Rangers. In addition to being on the Board, a number of people are also involved in other Rangers related organisations whether it is a RSC, a website or a singing group. Some things we do as a group as part of the RST and other things we do as part of other groups or as individuals. All of us were opposed to liquidation and didn't like the idea of a Newco so we were against the Miller bid and said so. Mark put Bill Miller's contact details up on his website although anyone could have got them. I'm sure every one of us would condemn anyone who sent a derogatory e-mail to him and, in hindsight, maybe Mark should not have done it but he did it as owner of FF, not as a Board member of the RST. Anything we have to say goes on our own website. As for the banners, my understanding was that they were mainly aimed at the administrators, were up a very short time and when asked to do so the guys took them down. To suggest they were anti-American is crazy and I'm sure this 'outrage' is greatly overstated. There were paid for by a well respected local businessman who also feels very strongly about Newcos. Remember that this happened prior to him being made PB. Obviously if it had to be between a Newco and nothing it would be different but that wasn't the case.
  17. That is not true.
  18. I am struggling here as I don't want banned but hopefully RM is back up and running and you will crawl back to where you belong. Nine posts since January 2009 and you come on and call someone like Sie Leslie a moron. Is Andy Smillie also a moron as I'd love you to call him that to his face?
  19. Here are a couple of articles from our website. Note that all three groups attended the initial meeting with Paul Murray and were impressed by his plans. However, the RST also urged any future bidder to speak to the fans. Maybe we publicly didn't question TBK bid because we knew the answers. We set out our position in terms of what we wanted and what we didn't want. If people disagree then that is up to them. Fans Meet With Paul Murray Tuesday, 21 February 2012 12:47 The Board of the Rangers Supporters' Trust and representatives from the Supporters Assembly and Supporters Association met with Paul Murray, who has registered an interest to buy with the administrators of Rangers FC, on Monday night in Glasgow. Fans representatives stated that they would work with any bidder to ensure the survival of the club but that to be credible any incoming consortium would have to demonstrate that as well as making financial sense their business plan ensured that never again would the club be run on the whim of a single shareholder; that the Board was truly representative of the various stakeholders; that value was retained within the company; and that good governance was paramount to safeguard the long-term well-being of the club. Mr Murray explained his position in broad terms - the scale of the problem is still to be fully established but he expected the work of the administrators would shortly provide an accurate picture of the finances of the club. He stated that the goodwill of the broad mass of fans was absolutely vital to save the club in the short-term and to enable it to prosper in the long-term. Mr Murray stated that he would be working in the coming weeks with colleagues and the administrators to obtain a clearer view of the current financial position; the reality surrounding the Ticketus contract and the validity of securities granted to various parties. It was agreed that Mr Murray would provide updates on the progress being made. The meeting ended with the Trust Chairman Gordon Dinnie reiterating the position of the three fans groups being that never again should the club be put in such a position and that all proposals regarding the club would be measured against the principles of democratic control and good governance. Trust Still Keen To Talk To All Potential Bidders Wednesday, 14 March 2012 22:02 The Rangers Supporters Trust today reiterated its open invitation to all potential buyers of the club to talk about the future of Rangers. Trust Chairman Gordon Dinnie said - â??Fans are the biggest investors in Rangers and have a life time stake in the club. It is vital that we learn lessons from the past so the club should never again be the property of a single individual. A partnership between high worth investors and fans will maximise investment in the club and ensure accountability and transparency in the future. Our door is open to all interested parties and we are keen to work with potential purchasers to secure a viable way forward. The trustâ??s position on any takeover will be guided by the following principles: â?¢A deal must remove the threat of liquidation and returns the club to being a thriving institution. â?¢Support for a CVA that puts the club on a firm financial footing. â?¢No one person can again run the club on a whim. Rangers supporters should be a key partner in any deal â?¢Should include measures to ensure governance of the club is greatly improved and democratised. â?¢Should greatly expand the ownership of shares in the club. â?¢Provide a roadmap with regard to the operation of a meaningful club membership scheme.
  20. I can't think of any fans group that has ever said that they speak for the majority. Maybe you should join one of the groups and try to make a difference rather than moaning about it on an anonymous internet forum. Just a thought.
  21. Bluedell, this has gone way over my head now so are you able to advise on the following. 1) How can the assets just be transferred to a newco? What about Craig Whyte and his shares? 2) How can players be transferred and what about their registrations? 3) What happens if a CVA can't be agreed? It seems to me that if this was a way to get out of administration and avoid liquidation then every company in trouble could do this? I'm really struggling with this.
  22. These people come on and spout their drivel, attacking fellow Rangers fans who give a hell of a lot of their time for the club, making unfounded allegations agaist individuals they have no knowledge of. Supporters Trusts are about empowering fans, giving them a greater say and having wider share ownership of the club. What other bid has promised that? We (and by that I mean the 3 supporters groups) said that we would be interested in speaking to any bidder. Bill Miller has not attempted to engage with any of the fans. MD has said on numerous occasions that he would not seek to be the supporters rep on the Board as he doesn't have the credentials to do so but we keep getting these stupid posts suggesting that this has already been offered. The RST has made it clear that the supporters reps should be elected by the fans rather than appointed. You do get used to reading the lies spouted but it doesn't make it easier to read.
  23. That's the crux of it. I sat through the DVD D&P made for the meeting at Ibrox on Saturday and thought it seemed like a promotion for the Miller bid.
  24. Ian, I don't think it's anything to do with the amount of the bid. It's to do with Craig Whyte's shares and D&P's inability to deliver them.
