  1. Borna Barisic set to leave Rangers in the summer according to his agent
Steven Gerrard could have to say goodbye to one of his key players before next season.

Borna Barišić's agent says he expects the left-back to leave Ibrox in the summer.
The 27-year-old signed a new contract in January that expires in 2024, but his agent says his player in demand.
Ives Cakarun says the Croatian was the subject of interest from Napoli in the last transfer window, and he foresees more options this summer.

"Borna's priority right now is Rangers, who have made significant progress this season under the management of Steven Gerrard.
"There was interest in him during the winter transfer window - the strongest came from Napoli, but Rangers turned down all offers because they wanted to keep one of their best players.

"They value Borna a lot and wanted to win something with him because Rangers haven't won a trophy for a long time.
"But after the season is over and given the demand for Borna, Rangers are sure to start considering new offers. It will be a completely new position for Borna.
"His performances this season have opened up a whole, new horizon for him."

Look at what happened with Keating.  I honestly think VAR wouldn't work in Scotland, the officials are that shit.

Money would be better spent on making them full time and giving them better training.

Think i read that the top refs down south are on around 50k salary plus 1k per game ,that's an actual career then.

  3. We need a quality midfield moaning bastard a la Barry Ferguson , a player that can motivate his team mates and lift their heads up when things are not going so well.

Had a feeling that there would be a price to pay for the Braga win ,as that's just out it tends to work out for us ,we play out of our skin, then instead of building on a great result , we massively underperform .

Give us a top flight Portugese team and we'll dispose of them, but give us the worst team in our division, and we'll make them look like  Barcelona,..seems like we don't like being favourites.

Based on that , I was delighted that we drew Bayer Leverkusen, because i'm more than confident that we'll dispose of them too, it's any lesser team left in the quarter finals that will be the problem.

    No, I understood you mate.

I'm glad the vast majority are being level-headed about the issues we face.  :)

? It's just a bit deflating to see this thread sitting at the top of the pile .

I'm not helping matters either ?.

For me, it's a fairly understandable initial reaction but, I can't see how anyone would, after some reflection think sacking the manager and his coaching team would hasten our return to success.

There's no doubt Gerrard has his faults so to ignore that and/or our recent form would be silly.  However, we have made good progress over the last 18-24 months so sacking him after one period of bad form (in which we've been missing a few key players as well) is a complete over-reaction.

Much better to be constructive in our criticism:

    1.  The manager simply has to be more flexible/adaptable in his selections and systems: relying on the 4-3-2-1 isn't working.

    2.  He has to be prepared to change things quicker during games.

    3.  To not have adequate similar backup for Barisic and Morelos, in particular, is now bordering on negligence when they are so important to the way we play.

    4.  We have to solve the issues we have after international breaks.

    5.  We have to examine why we've lost so many games recently from winning positions.

    6.  He needs to be stronger in his criticism of the officials.

I'm sure we could add a few more points to take us to 10.  All things considered, discussing these flaws makes for a more interesting thread than ripping everything up and starting again, where we'd then need more transfer windows as well as finding a better manager, questions not certain to be answered.

I'm afraid, we just need to maintain our support and have further patience amidst dreadful times to be a Rangers fan.  That's not easy but, if don't fancy following our motto, then Rangers isn't for you.

Think you maybe picked me up wrong there, the 'speaking volumes' part is in reference to the op.
