Wee Willie Collum received numerous death threats on different occasions yet I can't recall him cowering from public view despite him constantly being in a hostile environment.

I'm certain the QC chap, I still can't recall his name even though I just read it, will be right chuffed with Thomson digging this whole issue up again. I don't know about you guys on here, but I had forgotten about that whole situation. let alone the names of the people involved! In my opinion, Thomson's latest piece was trying to threaten our proposed share issue by tainting the Club as being nasty, evil etc. Why else would his diatribe appear in the "Financial News" section ?? http://www.financial-news.co.uk/8022/2012/10/glasgow-rangers-fans-threaten-over-media-coverage/ I've also read somewhere in twitter that bheast fans are planning to de-stablize the issue by costing the Club £3 a time by requesting multiple prospecti.

What a balanced, objective piece by Thomson, free from prejudices, presumption and pish ....not. It appears like he's been interacting with bigoted trash for too long. Real journalists must be cringing at articles like this, embarrassing really. The whole piece was like a series of headlines designed to grab certain idiots' attention. The only things missing were the rest of the stories behind the headlines, the ones which actually give the facts of the matter. Sprinkled with half truths. (death threats for example, but fails to add there was zero evidence in their existence or, indeed, substance) The whole thing reads like an exclusive preview of mad phil's next book. Thomson has fallen a long way and can only be now considered on a par with the rest of cfc's finest propagandists.

Ticket....check. Scarf.....check Cash......check. Smoke bomb.... check What kind of supporter takes a smoke bomb to a game ffs. "Yes, I think I'll go and cause some trouble at the game today, possibly get arrested, possibly severely burn myself and others closeby, definitely annoy other fans, definitely besmirch the reputation of the Club, definitely have timmy, the BBC. the Record, the Sun, mad phil and all his fanny pals all smiling, definitely take the focus all the scummy cfc fans' banners etc" These people are either extremely stupid or are simply not supporters of this Club.

They could be in for all kind of non strenuous reasons. Talk tactics, massage and conditioning, team bonding, shooting practice, set plays, PR for the Club, etc. etc.

I don't think it "matters", but I also think it speaks volumes that he hasn't. The fact that he was quick of the mark when a pie factory was struggling and was facing liquidation is in stark contrast to our situation. A situation which could have a devastating effect on many other Clubs and small businesses throughout Scotland and beyond. A situation where there is more than a whiff of corruption. A situation where any concerned Government MUST step in. Yet here he is again on yet another jolly while the economy is struggling AND there is poverty in our communities!

He made a comment about a body which has no connection with the Club whatsoever. The SFA and SPL are teetering towards the edge of existence in my opinion.
