Instead of being critical of Boyd, can anyone explain why last season's top goal scorer ( at 2 clubs ) is suddenly not performing ?

It's crap that we should even be debating what formation we should be playing against the mighty Livorno. Is this what it's come to ? Our level of expectation has plummeted somewhat, has it not. Le Guen will do what he always does. Put names in his chapeau, ( leaving out the one or two he doesn't like ) and draw them out shortly before kick-off,

Is it just possible we've been sold a pedigree pup who is now turning out to be mongrel ? Were we taken in by Murray's hype and seduced into believing that we had a quality manager ? Only time and results will tell. To say that it is early days is nonsense. If we had spent wisely and prudently by a manager who new what he was doing then, after 3 months, we would have every reason to be confident. Is there anyone who feels confident with the present set-up ?

I know what you mean regarding injuries an' that but tackling is an essential part of the game. A successful tackle doesn't mean you have to cripple the player with the ball. Where do you draw the line ? No more headers in case someone gets a headache, don't shoot too hard in case it stings Letizi's hands, careful with the passes, you'll have someone's eye out !! I believe that if the players can't take it at training then they aren't tough enough or smart enough to do it when it counts. We have become a soft touch and this has been obvious since PLG arrived. I think he severely under estimated the SPL and this is why we are 10 points behind a poor celtic side.

I hope PLG changes tack regarding his decision making as some of the ones he's made so far haven't been very inspiring. Firing Ricksen off to Russia without giving him a chance to redeem himself. Not playing Scotland's top goal scorer EVERY week. Dropping Allen McGregor for a keeper short of match practice. Banning any tackling at Murray Park. I'm sure there are more which I can't think of at the moment. Does anyone agree or am I just being negative ?

Did I read somewhere that PLG has banned tackling at Murray Park ? Can anyone confirm if this is true ?

I thought Klos was the no. 1 keeper at Rangers. PLG has made a mistake by playing Letizi after only having 1 " comeback " game in the reserves as he obviously didn't have his " eye in " today. Any keeper who has been out of match practice knows this as it takes several games to get properly match fit. We'll see if McGregor plays in the next game. If he doesn't, someone needs to have a word with Le Guen.
