Anyway, due to WS,s seemingly irrational decisions recently, does anyone think there is something going on with him that we are unaware of.......seriously ? I always think when there are situations which defy logic and common sense there are usually unknown factors involved.
-
Is it altzeimers, parkinsons, memory loss or are you a double agent ? Can anyone else suggest what ails Uncle Walter and why he ignores all advice ?
-
I presume WS was in charge of the Team yesterday and not AMcC. If WS loves the single striker so much, why doesn't he start with an attacking formation putting teams on the backfoot until a lead is established then revert to a lone striker? The other team has to come out therefore creating spaces for the striker. Was this not the way of wee Dick. This surely must be obvious to WS having seen how his teams play and how AMcC's teams play. Do they not communicate with each other or does WS just refuse to consider other options which have been already seen to be successful ?
-
My dad and I watched the game on tv today and we both agreed that the team were set out more positively and played to win. They can do it when they want to. Whether this was AMc's plan or not, we'll need to ask him. I liked they way we got on top early on then were able to cruise through the second half pinning Hamilton in their own half. Co-incidence or differing tactics from AMc and WS. I know who's I prefer.

It's refreshing for someone in the press to stick their head above the parapet and speak their mind, abrasive though it may be. The players mentioned have played better than they did against Caley, they don't become useless overnight and had reached the top of the league by being better than the rest. This means by being superior to celtic we topped the league. I now expect JH to reflect on today's Cup exit and offer a balanced synopsis of his sides' performance at New Love Street. My breathe is baited in anticipation. I hope our management takes the opportunity to enlarge copies of JH's rant and post them all around Murray Park from now until the end of the season. If this doesn't motovate the players, nothing will.

Read JH in todays Sun and discuss. (sorry, I can't do pasting) " Tae see oorselves as ithers see us " or just a wind up ? You decide.

Leadership, Responsibility, Belief, Passion, Commitment..

BTW the Labour Government and not the Queen taxes our asses off. -
All we need to do, and I mean everyone who uses Gersnet and anyone else who will listen , is whenever any nonsense appears in the press or wherever, complain to the place of origin, complain to our club, complain to celtic, complain to your MSP and MP and anyone else who may have influence. Any of your mates who agree with you tell them to do the same. Keep your e-mails short, precise and polite quoting the source of your ire, and keep sending them until you get a response. Spend an hour or so gathering a list of people to complain to and fire them all mails whenever the need arises, I know I do. If we all did this and kept it up, I'm certain that through time this will achieve so kind of filter on the anti Rangers propaganda. It's a positive thing to do and it won't have any implications for our Club. Meanwhile I'm off to bed, nite nite.

No M F, we are not fukked, remember that there has to be no surrender, and neither there will be. If they continue to twist the words of our songs then we have to continue to expose the stupidity and hippocracy of their accusations. The so called hatred of the famine song has all but died a death although the stench is still in the air as per this SPL lackey's report. Look how quickly they were laughed at over the vile and evil hokey kokey slur. Let them make idiots of themselves but we have to be ready to expose their hippocracy and ridicule them when they clutch at the straws of any supposed anti catholic/celtic slurs. If our support wants to fight this, then they must be more subtle in approach and not be as blunt as do it in front of the world's media.

I don't think they are smarter than us, I just think they have many people of influence at different levels in the game. Take the man of many colours, he could have been P.M. They don't come more slippery than Mr. John Reid. The celtic board didn't pick him because of his good looks. He probably has an address book full of people owing him favours from his time in government. This, a man backed who the troops one minute and now works in an organisation who wouldn't even have a minutes silence for the War dead. And that is only one man. Several irish millionairres also sniff about their club no doubt playing the " scratch my back, I'll scratch yours " game. The trouble is that the celtic "jolly oirishman" has been well promoted all over the world. They've even convinced gullible Yanks to raise funds for the ira. The owned and influenced media love those rascal rebels with a twinkle in their eye while depicting us as the nasty bully boys of the establishment and those who see our Union flags associate us with the national front. Thats why they latch on to the least wee thing again, making us look bad and them playing the victims. As was previously said in another post we must give them nothing to beat us with, however trivial it may seem. ie. hokey flamin kokey. This is what they are capable of, making something out of nothing. I've seen and met some of these lovable rogues who turned out to be very bad men indeed. There is much more going on behind the smiles than we are aware of.

The one way street has now been obvious for all to see, even the eastenders must be embarrassed, but the can of worms remains only open at our end only. Until murray et al get their finger out or Cammy gets his dream job, I'm afraid this is the situation we're faced with.

Let's hope so.

I still don't accept that good bears would cause uneccessary trouble for the Club. Anyway, at no time did I call anyone good or bad, maybe they are, I don't know. What makes a good bear anyway, certainly not one who puts the Club at a disadvantage. What if this incident runs its course and we are deducted points or banned from travelling away. Then the league is lost by a single point. Happy Days !! I think not.
-
Your are right. Murray sees himself as a separate entity to Rangers, except when he wants any reflected glory.
-
Can we have an open thread where all Gersnetters can post any items of this nature and then bombard SDM with them. Maybe, just maybe, instead of sticking his head in the sand and ignoring bad publicity he might take it on.
-
Who will stand up and expose it ? Murray certainly won't risk it. Is it marxist thought which suggests that the media must be controlled in order to promote agenda? Until we have at least an equal foothold in the press which is unafraid to print it as it is, we will always be left holding the shitty end of the stick while everything across the City looks wonderful.

M F I've followed Rangers through good times and bad but as I said to Norris we can't turn back the clock and act as we used to. Any of the so called inflammatory songs which were supposed to have been sung on Sunday were nothing compared to what used to be sung, and that was with only the width of wired mesh separation. Sure there were incidents but rarely anything too serious. That was then, this is now. Media everywhere just waiting to report anything considered controversial. I can't change this and neither can you. I don't like it but its here and that's a fact. It can make you and it can break you. I'm totally fed up with celtic always being portrayed as the poor wee hurtit souls, I just think to match their ira chants etc with ones of our own is just giving them to chance to enhance this illusion.
-
If you are calling celtic, " tims " then I do the same myself. But as we were on the subject of religion I assumed it was the religious " tim " which has attached itself as being synonymous with celtic. We can't turn back time and go back to the 60s and 70s when everyone gave as good as they got. More than a few times I was chased by celtic fans and we also chased them. I can't remember anyone being caught. But there was never hatred in the true sense of the word. Nowadays, all clubs are dependent on the media, whether we like it or not. Therefore bad publicity should be avoided. I can assure you I have always despised celtic and especially how they have infiltrated influential positions in media, business and government, and then went on to use this influence to further there own gain.
-
Were you at Sunday's game, were you singing the so called offensive songs knowing it would put our Club in the news for all the wrong reasons ? If you were, was this in the best interests of the Club or was it simply to enhance your own reputation as a "Tim Hater" And by the way explain nouveau supporter ? Does that mean anyone who has supported the Club for about 45 years ? If it does, I'm your man, if not shut up and visit reality now and again.
-
Anyone who gets in the way of letting me enjoy my football and deliberately puts MY Club in a bad light and under unnecessary pressure is a PURE ARSEHOLE. I'm sorry if this offends you in particular Norris but there's no other word to describe those people. You say you are a " Tim Hater ", well, those are the ones I hate.
-
Norris, for years I stood on the terraces and sang along with every song going, at all games. And usually finished with the usual ***. The other lot would sing their songs back at us and so on. I saw nothing wrong with this and I still do. I don't know if anyone was offended but I wasn't. It was part of the atmosphere at the games, particularly the Old Firm games. I still find it difficult to understand why people go to these games nowadays and expect some jolly banter and cuddles all round at the end, it really does baffle me. We now live in times when no-one must be offended, its more socially acceptable to knife somebody than call them a bad name. Fucked if I will ever understand it. Are peoples' egos so fragile? Maybe in a hundred years the game will be totally sterile and competition will be banned and probably there will be no supporters allowed to attend games, all will be televised. Until then we live in a time of confusion where one lot are punished for doing something naughty and others aren't for the same " crime " And, by the way, does being a "Tim Hater" make you a better person than me or is it juat a waste of time and energy ?
-
Are you a Rangers fan or a " tim hater ?" If you are both then you were probably one of the arseholes trying to blacken our name no matter the consequences. I for one don't give a flying fuck about religion, what's it got to do with football anyway? For everyone like you there is the same kind of bigot on the other side and as long as that situation remains this to and fro bile will never stop. I know there is bias against us in authority and the press but those who are offended are absolutely fucking pathetic. Did you read a recent article in a Dublin newspaper concerning this, and particularly the " famine ?" The columnist accused the pseudo irish/scotsmen who run bleating when they hear " nasty songs " being sung were nothing but a bunch of pathetic wasters, and, their kind should be prevented from returning Ireland if they ever tried to " come home " That is how they view this situation, from Ireland, " the old country " Don't buy into this crap my friend, follow Rangers for the football, nothing else.

We had a great opportunity to humiliate and demoralise our main rivals yesterday. They are a team close to imploding and a good victory yesterday would have sealed their fate. We could have walked tall for the rest of the season and faced all teams with the confidence of champions. What a great run-in it could have been. Wee Jimmy Krankie knows the game's up and would be delighted that he didn't lose any more ground to the only team capable of taking the league from them. The message Smith gave our players was " we are not good enough to go and beat this poor and dysfunctional team because they are better than us "
-
Are we going to definitely beat these teams over the next few games? That's a bit insulting to them and their players. In fact it will probably give them a greater incentive. We had the chance to defeat and demoralise celtic at the midden but we lacked the plums and the confidence to do so. This will only give them heart.

These people are simply NOT interested in our Club, they are only concerned in winding people up. I also think they are not interested in sectarian issues. They use our Club as a front and a stage in order to perform in front of the masses and be heard on T V. It's all one to them if points are deducted or fines are levied, it won't affect them in any way whatsoever. They are cowards who hide in the crowd.
