  1. It's a fact that when reporting crime, either newstime on TV or in your redtops, of the crime reported 80% will be violent and 20% non-violent. When actually, of all crime, 5% is violent and 95% non-violent. This serves to make people more fearfull of crime than they should be. It makes people more likely to stay at home, read more newsprint, watch more TV, and, make them believe the world outside their door is a very nasty place. All they need is a small element of truth to start things off, after all they can't print lies can they, but they can bend the truth. They can make heroes and they can make villains, depends on their own personal leanings. eg. Two young, fit lads, just having put in a hard shift at their work go back to their digs where the boss has laid on some eat and drink. It's now their day off so they take advantage of their boss's kind hospitality as young lads are prone to do, and things go on longer than perhaps they should do. One of the bosses tells them to go to bed. They reply by telling him to go away, after all it is their day off. The following day a newspaper who doesn't particularly like these boys gets to hear of this and those same boys end up getting sacked from their part-time job, suspended from their main job and vilified by the entire nation. Job done. All because someone at a newspaper doesn't like them and sees an opportunity to exploit the truth and column inches to the extent of 1% short of pure fiction. Now after many hours of media reporting on this matter, two young men have their reputations as good professionals in tatters and are in great danger of losing their livelihoods. This "news" paper's motto should be " Believe what you want to believe "
  2. If this is yet another final word from the SFA then they have set the bar quite high for any further indisgressions by the players. I hope no players stick their tongue out or make gestures towards the crowd at any time. ( I wonder if smiling at opposition supporters counts ) They will face the long walk into international oblivion if they do. I wonder who'll be next. I predict " cheeky boy " McFadden.

    Retarded

Has anyone read any of the " news " in the retard regarding last weekends' shenanigans ? Having denied having anything to do with cover ups and selective reporting, this newspaper is now dictating what is going to happen at the SFA meeting later in the week. Either the SFA is going to act as directed by the retard OR someone at the SFA is tipping off the retard of its findings, OR they are using a fortune teller. Can anyone else offer an explanation as to how they can print TODAY what is yet to take place ? I'm sorry to keep this going but the retard is determined to screw us as much as they can.
  4. The battle of who can fabricate the bestest.
  5. Just read on another site that these newspapers are now involved in legal action due to some of the stuff printed over the weekend. Has anyone heard this ?
  6. Every cloud etc. etc.
  7. It seems recent efforts have been too much for McCulloch. He's injured his calf muscle again. I don't think we are getting value for money with this chap. Time he was punted.
  8. Who be Tom English and why does he have to explain what happens on a slow news day. Are these the best examples he can come up with ? Scintillating stuff indeed !!! What it tells me is that we have the same number of halfwits who feel the need to air their bigotted values as they do. Except our halfwit did it when there were no press around to expand on the incident therefore increasing column inches.
  9. I'm sure strachan will march brown down to Ibrox and then the daily record to issue an apology to the entire Scottish Nation for being a spineless, sneaky, two-faced, snivelling, poor excuse for a hairdresser first thing Monday morning. We all know how upstanding they are over there.
  10. I would like to think if this is the truth, Ferguson, McGregor, and Rangers Football Club are consulting lawyers with immediate effect. This is the time to put all the anti Rangers bias in the press to the sword once and for all.
  11. Just watched ZZ headbut big Materazzi during the World Cup Final in front of thousands of fans and millions of TV viewers. I believe he was awarded some medal of distinction a few months later by the French President for services to football. I wonder what Walter, George, and Gordon would have done to him if they had been in charge of the French set-up.
  12. I know that's the way it is nowadays, but how can someone be offended by hand gestures ? Come on ! Was it verbally or physically abusing an individual, did they openly threaten officials or even swear at them ? What would the punishment be for this, firing squad ? What happened when lennon made obscene gestures at Ibrox whilst spitting on a Rangers scarf ? He was actually on the pitch when this happened. Then, everyone new who they were directed at. At Hampden, while seated, the numpty 2 made their comments towards the press. WHO decided they were aimed at the support ? The press did. The pair did something stupid and the press capitalised.....big time. The Scottish hacks are feeling left out as all the action is happening down South. You would be forgiven to think there was the most important G20 meeting of recent times going on, a close second to the Numpty 2 flicking the vicks at some anonymous person.
  13. Questions needing answers. Why did Burly sanction a session at 5 a.m.? What is to happen to the other 5 participants ? What is to happen to Burly for condoning such a scenario considering its possible outcome ? Who first reported the hotel incident and who did they report it to ? ( I suspect the press were heavily involved especially as it is their job to stake out teams' hotels ) and Why did BF put himself in such a vulnerable situation. The press are now predictably printing thousands of column inches on the whole situation based on two facts. Being, drinking until 11am, and, making hand gestures at someone. This accounts for about 1% of what there are printing. The rest is conjecture, guesswork, hypotheticals and downright lies. Why are we being sucked into such a pathetic state of shock over a pathetic set of circumstances because of such a fantastic work of fiction ?
  14. Salmond, like ALL politicians, cannot resist leaping on any bandwagon which appears to enjoy overwhelming support amongst the masses. By associating themselves with any populist opinion, they believe this makes them popular also. Any politician will jump at the chance to be asked about this BF/AMcG situation. Think about Gordon Brown commenting on the demise of " racist " Jade Goody for example. Clever politicians will wait until the whole truth emerges. Wait and see !
  15. All Barry has now is his passion for Rangers. I think it's time he moved on.
  16. What they did was wrong but it is galling to think that the press played a huge part in their downfall. It would be interesting to know exactly why they did what they did at Hampden and who was it aimed at. I bet it was aimed at the press for the exposure of the drinking incident naming only Ferguson and McGregor. In other words it was a right stitch up job. This truth will emerge soon enough.
  17. At least they'll never be injured on international duty again. Scotlands' loss is our gain. I hope this whole incident serves as a great big boot up the backside for both players for the rest of their Rangers' career. ( however long that may be !!! )
  18. A 5 year old boy stuck his tongue out at me this morning. Needless to say I was grossly offended as I hate 5 year old boys who go to a certain school. Should I blame his parents, should I complain to his school or the local authority, maybe the police and social work should be asked to intervene ? I think my MP and MSP should be advised that this kind of thing is going on in their constituency and what are they going to do about it. Maybe a question to be put to Gordon Brown at PM's question Time ? Or...........maybe I should have stuck my tongue out back at him and end of story. I'm sure his mum will tell him not to be a cheeky boy and he will learn that it was not nice. Ferguson and McGregor made complete arses of themselves, a) being caught and b) doing it in the first place. They were 2 very naughty boys and should not be allowed back to the Scotland Party until they mend their ways, end of story.
  19. I agree that Ferguson and McGregor acted in a childish, disrespectful way in the photograph which by now must be familiar to everyone who supports Scottish Football. They may have performed thieir double act on Wednesday but who was it aimed at ? Did anyone other than the photographer actually witness the incident ? Now the press can print what they like. ie " offending the entire Scottish Nation etc. etc." Thanks F and M's moment of stupidity the press will now be able to move the focus from burly's ineptitude to offering up thousands of column inches saying how the Rangers' players ruined Scotland's World Cup chances. I wonder who they were actually aimed at ? Was it Scott Brown for his terrible barbershop technique ? Was it George Burly who had just stuck his tongue out at them ? Was it Eidur Gudjonsson who later said that Scotland played better without them ? Or was it the other boozing players who shouted at them saying " you got caught and we didnae, na na nana na" ? Somehow I don't think it was the support and the entire Scottish Nation as the press like to say as being a statement of fact. Anyone who believes that is a dimwitted numbskull who will swallow anything as long as it suits their already biased opinions against anything Rangers. I suppose we'll have to wait until the autobiographies are written before we know. All in all it is similar to the Gazza " flute playing incident " of several years ago where it was actually witnessed by very few but, thanks to the press and their slanted made up stories and stirred up bigotry allegations, managed to offend the entire Western World. However the fact remains that both players were very naive to make such gestures especially when they were under the spotlight due to their recent indisgressions. Especially when the repercussions not only involve them, but draw Rangers into the firing line.
  20. Who was it ? Cannae mind. I too have lost interest in Scotland ever since Burly kept Boyd on the bench for several games then came up with the lamest excuse for his omission. Everything Burly has tried has gone tits up from not scoring to not winning. He's been a big disappointment when we should be doing better.
  21. Burly ( no mistake ) has taken the national team backwards since Smith and McLeish, of that there is no doubt. He changes his mind contradicting his own statements on a regular basis. ie. " not playing for his club " then Hutton plays etc etc. We'll see if Gordon plays tomorrow. If he does it will be interesting how he explains that one, it's not as if Greegs did a "boric" Am I right in saying we haven't won at Hampden in 6 games ? Am I also right in saying the Faroes recently beat Iceland away ?
  22. I'd rather we won an OF match than Scotland win the World Cup!!!!!
  23. What kind of contract is Billy Davies on at present? Anyone know?
  24. It's has to be a manager who knows the SPL inside out. Qualification for Champions' League with it's revenue is now the main priority. Apart from Levein, who else is there?
