1 volunteer is worth 10 pressed men - an old military adage. If you relate this in footballing terms then we should be quite well off. I believe Rangers and celtic have been the best teams in Scotland due to the fact that most young Scottish boys who want to play professionally want to play for them. Many in fact would play for nothing such is their desire. The players WE have at present are mostly playing for the jersey and certainly not for the big bucks. They have heart and all are fully committed to the Club. I wonder how many Man. City players will be playing solely for the jersey and not for the £100k plus. Whenever a player comes in, his commitment must be tested, especially if he is from another country . Craig Moore coming off the field laughing having been gubbed by celtic comes to mind as does Tore Andre Flow, I can't remember him busting a gut for the Club. These are but 2 examples of mercenary players. It's all about the right man at the right price and not buying someone who comes with a big price tag so he must be good. I think WS is right to "stick", for the moment anyway. Good players with great commitment and great coaching can make a great team, and you can't buy that and I also think that most players nowadays, especially from the big leagues, are seriously overpriced. ie. Darren Bent £15m FFS

It may have been funny in another context. What it has succeeded in doing though is introduced an "innocent" lad to the sectarian bigots. If he was unaware of sectarianism before, he sure is now. Welcome to the mindset of the mhank, Maurice.

I've been saying this for years. Yet again the press have taken an mildly amusing story about a singing bird and turned in into nationwide controversy. This would not have happened if the press had not made an issue out of it again managing to fan the flames. Everyone wants such an issue to go away and seek closure but the press, again, raise its ugly head. What will it be next, a report on someone seeing a king billy formation in the clouds !!!!

Now a parrot has been heard singing the sash and, yep, "they" are offended. Kinda puts the whole thing into perspective, doesn't it.
-
No ! Very believable. I'm offended at the situation, do I call the cops ?

Rangers Reported to SPL For 'Illegal Approaches'

Is this another one of those " Titanic sunk, Aberdeen man missing " type stories? It must be a very insecure wee part of the country if this bothers them. I believe last week they reported a wumman's washing had been blown off the line. -
Look up " Scottish Hitler " on you tube along with " Wido TV " on the net.
-
Something like it will probably be quite high up their list of " things to do "
-
Maybe they chose Holland !

Send the best of Scottish footballing talent, past and present, away to Brazil for a lads weekend. When they are there they must try to impregnate as many Brazilian beauties as possible. If the boys' " swimmers " do their stuff, in about 20 or so years our choice of Scottish/Brazilian footballers will be unlimited.

As much as I love wee Nacho, I don't think it is the way forward for our international selection process.

Don't go near the district where that Carradine chappie was trying to do the business. What he did might be compulsory.
-
Sure we won, but I didn't feel as elated as I would normally have been due to the fact that we played poorly and, apart from nacho's superb goal, were generally boring. I don't want my team to have an unattractive style. I would prefer to have played well and perhaps won 10 - 9 or something. What's it to be ? A " results industry " or an " entertainments industry ." Fair enough when you play a far superior team you must be very cautious and concentrate mainly on your defensive set up. On Saturday we treated Falkirk too cautiously and they took advantage big time. I don't Rangers to be hanging on, especially when we play other Scottish Teams which are generally considered inferior

How badly is the discredited 'journalist' hurting?

The "times" seems to have been enhanced by his presence. Look at todays main pages. I counted 8 stories about the tim while, only 2 days ago we won the league for the first time in 4 years. It appears to be far more interested in the tim's sad state of affairs than of our achievements. -
It might be true to say that Traynor is a fan of Walter Smith.

Never mind lads, this is Scottish Cup week and soon after the Champions's League kicks off. When they fail to qualify it will be all gloom and doom. Here it will be drinks all round and a good laugh at them into the bargain. -
A great incentive was handed to us yesterday as one of sellik's headless chicken occasional forwards announces that " Rangers are not worthy to be champions " like wot they are. This must be seen as great news in the incentive department. I'd love to see the look on wee jimi kranki's coupon as he reads that this morning, comedy gold ! C'mon Walter, have Murray Park decorated with the news.

Let's hope that after watching TV replays of the incident, the linesman in honest and decent enough to admit that there was no intent to harm Jamie langfield.
-
The fact is that we won whilst playing well below capacity. I hope this acts as a kick up the trousers for Tannadice. I believe Hibs and Hearts will do their best to win, no-one wants THEM to win the league.

A spring clean is needed all round, top to bottom.

Remember years ago WS saying something about Gazza. It was something like if you wanted the genius that was Gazza, you had to put up with the madness that goes with it. Now, I'm not suggesting that Kris Boyd is a footballing genius but he has a special quality that wins football matches. By this rationale should WS not build a team to accommodate the goalscoring genius that Kris Boyd possesses ?

Mountains and molehills. The truth and natural justice will appear soon as I suspect one, two, or maybe a few will fall on their sword. Wait and see.
