  1. Do you not think the £24m was taken out of the equasion to prevent HMRC or any other creditor get their hands on it. ie. before the bailiffs arrive, you take the best silver round to yer mams oot the road only for it to reappear once the dust settles. Just saying.
  2. Well, I find it very interesting that David Murray is hardly mentioned throughout the whole of this thread. He must be having a right good laugh to himself as Whyte is in the frame for "destoying our Club etc" Whyte "lied to the fans". If he has lied to us, which supporters are out of pocket, who is actually suffering due to these "lies" ? He may be guilty of being economical with the truth, but I don't think for one moment it was to fool the fans. To wrongfoot our creditors maybe, but not the fans. It's like food at a supermarket. We all eat it but we don't want to know how it's killed, grown, gutted, cleaned up etc. Whyte is doing what has to be done and some of us are kidding ourselves by claiming he's cheating, lying etc. It is my opinion that the end will justify the means. If you disagree will you disown the Club if it survives by Craig Whyte's means ? He's a chancer, but he's our chancer.
  3. Conning wee old ladies is a bit different from conning a "Captain of Industry" or Her Majesty's Revenue.
  4. Here's a wee story from Fergus "the Bunnet" from his time at celtic. Sounds a wee bit similar to our man at the moment. Curiously, on another blog from a New York Times written back then, he is referred to as "the White Knight. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/953651.stm
  5. Frankie, you or I could blurt this stuff out, after all, he's done it before. Let him walk the walk and give us facts..not could, would or should.
  6. I don't think we were ever going to sail off into the sunset with CW. I only see him as a "cleaner" who has been asked to clean up the shite which has been accumulating at our Club now for a number of years. Ugly, dirty horrible job, especially when those who caused the shite stand on the sidelines constantly trying to divert him' Paul Murray could have done this clean up but that would mean exposing his pals, and we must not forget this. Whyte did NOT cause our Club to risk collapsing, David Murray, Paul Murray, Alister Johnston, Martin Baines etc are the culpable ones, NOT Craig Whyte. Make no mistake, the Bunnet did exactly the same job for celtic (I can't remember his past being scrutinised while he was trying to save them!) and he was well recompensed for his efforts. The only thing about him was they didn't like him because he wouldn't buy in to their tim culture but all in all he had an easy ride. I expect Craig Whyte to do the same and disappear back to where he came from.
  7. Whyte is neither in my opinion. Possibly a bit of both maybe. I cannot accept Craig Whyte could walk in and "con" everyone into getting his hands on our Club. How did he manage to "con" the Banks, David Murray and his lawyers, the Club's lawyers, the Administrators, HMRC, numerous Rangers Associations, Ellis etc ,ALL in plain site AND is still not been arrested then he is nothing short of the best actor EVER. Sitting in full view at Ibrox, week after week, coming back again and again after the abuse he constantly receives, face to face AND from the press. WHAT SIZE OF BAWS DOES THE MAN HAVE FFS!! The time to ask this question is when we actually KNOW what is happening. not when we THINK we know what's happening.
  8. It remains my opinion that Whyte will be handsomely paid to do this dirty work by the eventual owner who hired him in the first place to clear the decks.
  9. I hear what you say Gaz. But, at the moment Whyte CW IS the only person who stepped up. No-one else had the baws or a plan in place to "grasp the nettle" All reported "evidence" definitely paints a shady background. "Evidence" gathered by such concerned Rangers' supporters as marc daly and phil 3 stupit names to name but only two. We all saw the contrived bbc documentary, over dramatised with the odd sprinkle of half truths with many other full truths left out because it didn't suit daly's agenda. An agenda which sole purpose was to blacken the name of our Club. It is now abundantly clear that although Whyte bought the Club last May, he already had his plan ready and now we have reached a vital part of that plan. I would have confidence in anyone else coming in if, they too had a plan in place for yesterday's eventuality ready to unfold (as much as could be disclosed, names, cash amounts involved etc) the moment administration was announced. As I said before, unless Paul Murray, or anyone else for that matter, can provide factual proof of his/their plan, then we have to follow the only plan, Whyte's plan. The Club was up for sale for 3 years prior to Craig Whyte's purchase, where was Paul Murray and HIS plan, or anyone else's either ? Christ, they've long enough to come up with one !
  10. I have the impression HMRC have been chasing Craig Whyte for several years now.
  11. The "people with plans" need to show themselves for anyone to decide if there is a viable alternative to Craig Whyte. At the moment I trust CW because I have to, he's the only "show in town" I am critical of Paul Murray because he was on the incompetent past Board and only came forward at the last moment with little to offer. I can only fully get behind any alternative if I can see numbers, guarantees, facts, and testimonies from independent experts.
  12. Anything is possible ! Personally I'd be happy with a less than 10 point spread at the end of the season.
  13. He can fuck off right now. He is discussing his ideas at the BBC right now..apparently. I ask you, our best pals the BBC ! As a member of the totally incompetent last Board he had his chance to step in but hadn't the baws to do it.
  14. Why would Craig Whyte tell everyone of his intentions ? Why ? "Yes, hello, I'm Craig Whyte I'm going to buy the Club for a pound and take it into administration as soon as possible" Can anyone offer up a valid and positive reason why he wasn't "economical" with the truth ? Not only the HMRC breathing down our neck, tim bloggers, bbc tims and mhedia tim bastards all scratching for dirt as well as the last board(and they have turned out to be self serving, greedy incompetent arseholes. What was he supposed to do ? Tell the support what he was going to do but make them promise not to tell anyone ! Look what happened yesterday. Within hours, yes hours, of an intention to apply for administration, HMRC were on the case trying to appoint for their own administrator ! Even tonight on STV news, every item about the issue was slanted against CW because of the £9m tax etc..very little about Murray's £75m "dream". The game is off, the game is off !.said STV....and then near the end of the sport they said it was on. Either very incompetent or trying to "sexy" it up! I knew the game was on mid afternoon for fucks sake as did all who twitter. I once lost my job and went to College. I was due mortgage payments which I simply could not pay. I knew I was going to lose my house no matter what. Should I have tried to pay whatever I had to the mortgage, leaving us with nothing for food, power etc. or should I just have waited to the inevitable bankruptcy and be able to eat etc. and have the outstanding mortgage written off ? £9m outstanding. Pay or wait for administration to reduce the amount ? Business is business. So far, I think Craig Whyte has played a blinder in the face of slander, muckraking, threats, and intimidation both legal and illegal. I for one, am quite happy where we stand. However I will reserve overall judgement when the Fat lady gives us a song..please let it be Tina Turner. When are we going to listen to our own advice and kick the media in to touch.
  15. Before CW came on the scene this was spoken about. Once the dust has settled this could be the best way to go.
  16. Ask yourselves why they weren't queuing up to buy us over the past few years. Perhaps something to do with all this debt hanging over us and the revenue waiting to pounce ?? Ya think. After this ugly business is taken care of, do we not think we'll be a far more attractive acquisition for those with the inclination and the cash ? Eyes closed and hands over our ears for the next few weeks and we will retain our sanity. Craig Whyte appears to be taking care of business as far as I'm concerned. He's made the right business moves as far as I can see, and, does anyone think he's been economical with the truth no to fool us, but to outsmart the Club's creditors, HMRC AND the press at bay ?
  17. I don't think CW is a sucker, he's a willing patsy in all of this with a nice payday to lok forward to. He appeared from nowhere and that's where he'll return once the "saviour" steps in. Shakespeare could have written this whole saga and I'm sure there will be a happy ending. I look forward to the Hollywood movie in a couple of years.
  18. Absolutely not ! Danny...this is the beginning of the beginning, a real watershed moment which has been coming for years. We should now let Whyte do what he does best and support him, the Club and the players as best we can. We still have 2 chances to skelp the tims and show the World they are only League Champions (if indeed they do win it as is now expected) by virtue of the fact of our points deduction. Sure we're all disappointed and some may be even devastated, but what good is it wasting time and energy on anger and recriminations. That won't help the Club. We have to use our energy etc supporting all aspects of the Club and get into those tims at every opportunity. Because, Danny, WE ARE THE PEOPLE !
  19. I think it's more of a retreat in order to regroup and come back out fighting.
  20. What is/was Whyte's sole purpose as a businessman ? To buy failing businesses and turn round the ones with potential. We HAVE POTENTIAL !
  21. Does it really matter if HMRC win or lose ? I don't think they can appeal anything if the Club is officially declared skint..what would be the point ?
  22. Maybe this IS the "last resort" The optimist in me thinks Whyte has been preparing for this moment, with the "removal" of Dave King being the final act, relieving him of being associated with the Club. I, for one, am now looking to the future. No title. So what. The tims looked as if they were going to stroll along to the end of the season anyway. It will now be forever known as the "Tainted Title", the year Rangers were deducted 10 points. The year Rangers were operating on a shoestring. Like their return in to the Europa League, they will be regarded as the celtic team who got any success by default. We WILL emerge from this as good as ever, of this I have no doubt whatsoever. We must have patience with Whyte as, has been said many times before, HE is the only show in town...............for the meantime !
  23. I say a big THANK FUCK. Now perhaps we can start planning for the future. Am I right in thinking the tax bill should not now matter much, win or lose ?
  24. If I was an investor in our Club at the moment, I would not wish to be legally connected to it as it entered administration, insolvency, bankruptcy or be associated with a massive tax debt. In fact, be connected to it in any legal way whatsoever. That's my immediate feeling on seeing this. Anyway, when did we start believing what we read in this rhag ? How did they find out this "information"? If I was involved with Rangers at the moment. I would be feeding this rhag with as much misinformation as I could dream up ! Just saying.
  25. I think this is only a relatively unknown journalist, (well, I've never heard of him and I'm no novice in anti Rangers journos) who is trying very hard to get noticed by as many folk as possible. Mind you, I tried to find out his background, the only real believable DK was a character from Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. On the Euro site it says he is originally from Dundee and moved abroad for a while etc. Unless anyone can confirm otherwise, I would say this could be an assumed name. He sounds too similar to bitter tim extraordinairre, Fill 3 stupid names, for my liking. His dislike of our Club would surely have surfaced before now, and, imo such hatred can only be dished out by plastic tims from the east end of Glasgow, not Dundee. Just a theory.
