Leggat - CELTIC LAWYERS CHOSEN BY SPL TO PROBE RANGERS
biggordy replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
This would be the Lawyers in question! http://www.bentjudges.com/Harper_MacLeod.html -
Any bid would probably sound great I suppose. Full of promise after promise. Only a crystal ball would could reveal who's best. From what I've read from endlessly trawling around the 'net, I've still to hear anything negative about Brian Kennedy. I think he's the man !

Why the football club I love is in danger of being eaten by Sharks
biggordy replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I'm sure several EPL Teams share their grounds with different Clubs. -
I'm all in favour of anything which shuts them up!
-
Well he's blown that "horse out of the stable" (I just made that up btw) No chance of a guilty verdict now!

Any comments regarding these comments from the man running Scottish Football ? http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/4184484/Obstructive-liars-that-is-what-we-had-to-face-at-Rangers.html This kind of thing can do untold damage to our Club! How do we get this dangerous idiot kicked out ?
-
TBH I'm not in favour of "committees" with voting powers or joint owners. Matters tend to be kicked around waiting for this one and that one to appear/vote/decide etc. plus they can argue/fall out or form factions having different agendas. eg fans reps would see things from a football angle while investors could be more profit minded. I would prefer to have a single owner making decisions having reached them by taking advice from trusted advisors in certain areas. After all, it would be their cash and they would have the only say how it is spent to make the Club successful by way of both onfield and off field success. Killie works in this way and I think they do well considering their limited fan base and commercial opportunities. For me so far, I would be happy for Brian Kennedy to advance his bid, but, I would want him to show more eagerness at least.

Seems it's commonplace in the land of the World and European Champions, http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/sam-wallace-spanish-clubs-unpaid-tax-bills-are-a-disgrace--and-a-warning-to-all-7576759.html

Meanwhile, when no-one's looking, Dermot Desmond is appearing at a Tax Evasion Tribunal. http://wn.com/moriarty_tribunal?orderby=relevance&upload_time=today Can anyone make out what's going on here?

Leggat - PHILMACGIOLLABHAIN, MATT McGLONE AND THE CHANNEL 4 PLOT
biggordy replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I've had some e-mail conversation with Alex Thomson and he assures me that he will keep to the task in hand, and deal with facts alone ! -
As long as the ref gives dodgy decisions in favour of the tims, they are rewarded with gigs in Europe.

Club and Craig Whyte to face SFA disciplinary hearings
biggordy replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Here's an interesting blog regarding "fit and proper" http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/03/11/the-sfas-fit-and-proper-test-self-certification-for-football-clubs-a-farce-part-1-craig-whyte/ -
Has anyone noticed that the disgraced social worker and his ilk have slithered back in to the woodwork ? It now appears they've done us a good turn by "exposing" Craig Whyte which has led us to now looking forward to new and positive ownership. 140 CHEERS for timmy !!! The tims are simply not that bright, they tend not to think things through and attack with their blinkers on. Who knows where we might be if they hadn't looked into CW's background and he was left to go unchecked !! If they'd only kept their gobs shut eh! Almost anything they complain about seems to come back at them to bite them on the arse. ie "sectarian" singing, free speech etc. And now us !!! Anyone looking for voluntary work may look towards the Samaritans, I think they may soon be busy!

Brian Kennedy will make offer to buy Gers - Express
biggordy replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Easy come, easy go ! Birmingham City ? I couldn't stand the tims' gloating..again, if it went tits up once more. -
Can anyone tell me why it is in order for Paul Murray to use Ticketus money when is wasn't for Craig Whyte ? Media Slant perhaps? I don't want Ticketus anywhere near us, I smell shite, bigtime. Apparently Murray couldn't bid without the backing of Ticketus, is this true ?.
-
As a former director, would Murray not be considered "fit and proper" by the SFA ?
-
Please keep Murray's "blue knights" away from my Club. Not only do his plans have aforementioned "serious flaws", but they keep changing almost on a daily basis. He dangled the carrot of "fan ownership" early on to get as many supporters on side as possible, but since then he has failed to produce his alleged backers. If we remember, THIS is the same plan he suggested when Whyte looked as if he was sealing last year's deal, cobbled together on the spur of the moment! Nine months or so later, he's still offering up the same master plan. A big "NO THANKS" from me.

I have serious doubts about ANYONE who was part of the previous Board from a mis-management and conspiratorial point of view. For example, did they deliberately let the Club slide in to "administration" only to pick it up on the cheap or were they totally inept and/or naive in their handling of the Club's business ? Regarding the RST. I know very little about them or their actual motives be they genuine or are they purely about the self gratification of their senior members. If I was Paul Murray, the first thing I would do is get some "gobby" fans' groups on board. I would use them to get as many fans backing me (obviously) and make them feel they were part of new leadership. This would appeal to the ego driven leaders, plus, the phrase "better have them pissing out the tent than pissing in". Like it or not fellow Bears, there is little room for sentiment in today's Boardrooms. Anyone who thinks Fans' Representatives will have an important say is extremely naive at least. Any fan would merely be overwhelmed in by the sudden rise to "importance" within their Club and would "vote" the way they are told to in order to preserve their position. We should hope that the highest bidder wins the race for ownership with guarantees that the Club lives on for at least another 140 years.
-
Disappointed with John Hartson. He, more than others must know what it's like to be down, and looking like your time was up. Thousands of Bears wished him well in order to help him fight his battle. I also had a life threatening illness and I know what it's like to be in a position similar to his. If I learned something it was gratitude and appreciation for all the wellwishers who took time out to offer help and support. I duly learned empathy for those going through similar experiences. I cannot understand why Hartson has chosen to say "fuck you" to many of these people who put rivalries aside and offer their sympathies in his time of need. I know the "death" of a football Club can't be compared to the life of a human being but surely your mindset must change your outlook on life in general. Either Mr. Hartson is a cold hearted bastard who has cheated death or is a person who will say anything to appeal to the bheasts and/or his bank account! Whichever it is, he should keep his mouth shut, karma never sleeps !
-
New owners = new players contracts = new wages ??? I don't think new owners would want to diminish the playing staff and therefore make us weaker.
-
Sue the bastards for negligence and failure to protect a member club !
-
Just pandering to a taig audience!
-
Firstly, I don't think we'll have to worry about playing in Europe for a few years. A recent sky sports discussion claimed the only League in England which is making profit at the moment is Division 2. Maybe, a start in the lower Leagues down south would consolidate the Club. Attendances would be little different from our current SPL ones.(eg Northampton Town fc, currently near the bottom of Div 2 has a better attendance record than Dunfermline fc !!) We would undoubtedly enhance other Club's home numbers, raise our TV audience along with advertising, hopefully rise through the Leagues and feed at the Premier League trough. It would also mean freeing ourselves from the tim bigotry which is engulfing our game, and we could look to a fantastic new journey away from the constant bickering in a League which claims it would be better off without us. So, what do you say, a brave new world OR the same old shite and bitterness.

Latest news from Rangers' administrator Paul Clark
biggordy replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Quite re-assuring imo -
Bain needs to drop this claim immediately if he ever wishes to return to Ibrox.
