  1. Ultras don't film themselves during matches, so I think you may have encountered some hangers-on whenever that's happened.
  2. The Lammers to Sunderland rumour has already been rubbished. Even Beale isn't that daft.
  3. My hope is more people will go and watch lower division clubs, as a result.
  4. This debate is worse than listening to John Hartson and Karen Carney. 🤣
  5. His studs were up but he wasn't going at any pace and looked completely in control of where his legs/feet were. May as well watch women's football, the way things are going.
  6. Well, I wasn't expecting that response! 😀
  7. What a manager wants and what a manager gets, during the transfer window, are two very different things.
  8. Managers unhappy about decisions isn't a new thing. Soon they'll* programme AI to run VAR checks, so we can all settle down. *the SFA have already started building the O'Terminator
  9. I bloody well hope not!
  10. VAR is just another thing to analyse or argue about. There's no less controversy about it in England than there is here. It's all very tedious.
  11. That's what I really like about Yilmaz, his determination to get forward all the time.
  12. They won't be charged more and shouldn't be. Judging by the atmosphere in the Copland, I think they're all catatonic, so probably won't notice when they're moved. On a more serious note, their new seats will provide a better view and they get an initial discount.
  13. As soon as people say, 'let's make it more like rugby', I'm turned off. Rugby is a shite sport to watch.
  14. New correspondence out today regarding moves in the Copland Road Stand, including new disabled and singing sections. Looks like a few are being moved out of their seats in CF and being offered moves to a new cantilevered section above, to accommodate the aforementioned new sections.
  15. After last weekend, I'm surprised I can type at all, never mind write a remotely coherent sentence. Four day hangovers are quite something. ☹️
  16. VAR is far more tolerable when you're watching football on television and even more so when you have no emotional attachment to either side playing. It's just another sign of everything being driven by viewing figures or the tail wagging the dog. It's fantastic fun for analysts, which is why Sky, TNT and Viaplay employ a commentator, two co-commentators and between two to five pundits to (completely over) analyse a bloody football match. One of a few reasons why I've been at less matches this season than any since we got back into the top flight.
  17. The problem with VAR is some rules are subjective and we're still having the same arguments we were before it was introduced. It's good for off-sides and most penalty decisions but I'd still be up for scrapping it. It's just another layer of officialdom.
  18. Two things: There's been nothing to suggest we're actually in for Shankland. My issue with fees like £5m (and I still think we paid too much for Ryan Kent!) is that several areas of our team need to be addressed and we can't be spending half (or more) of our entire budget on one player. Then again, I'm not a football manager or a board member, so my opinion is worth about as much as Sam Lammers.
  19. Clement and the board will decide. If Hearts demand £5m, I think we'd be nuts to pay. Nothing is pre-proven in football (Hearts don't play against defensive set-ups the way we have to, for starters).
  20. Overspending is more of a worry than over-thinking.
  21. What do you suggest the club should do? Better to target the dodgy officials one by one, with valid cases, than to go after the whole lot of them in one go.
  22. Oops. I really should just get back to reading the headlines. 😀
  23. The audio shouldn't make the slightest bit of difference. Sky get to hear the audio and Crocker didn't mention the offside until the second half, so we already know that the offside was a later concoction, undoubtedly created to protect Collum.
  24. At least if we're going for crocks, it proves Clement really understands what the club is all about. 🤣
  25. AFCON ends on 11th February, with the knockout stage starting on 27th January. Hopefully Senegal don't go too far, although they are the current holders. He'll definitely miss Hibs away and St Mirren away.
