The board have been looking into this for some time, hence the occasional small increases here and there. The cost of any significant increases would obviously be hugely significant, which is why it's probably unlikely in the short-medium term.

Rangers to trial move of away supporters within Ibrox Stadium
Gonzo79 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
That's why the club is going to trial it with the smaller sides. I can't see it happening with the higher category fixtures but if you feel strongly about it, you could always contact the club. -
Rangers to trial move of away supporters within Ibrox Stadium
Gonzo79 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It's mainly to do with the ease of security, due to turnstiles and facilities at the GW corner. Shouldn't be much of an issue with clubs like Livingston and St Johnstone but not so simple with the likes of Aberdeen and Hibs. -

Seems a decent idea. -
There's a decent film about Beckenbauer, called Der Kaiser - just came out last year. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt19623364/

Brenda Rodgers shags blokes dressed as women, so I wouldn't trust his word on anything. 😀

Beckenbauer looks like he just got out of bed.

I don't think Hagi is 'flourishing' in Spain. In general though, the weight of expectation is different at Rangers than it is at the vast majority of football clubs.

I don't. We won't win the league with the current squad. -
Rudi Voller and Didier Deschamps were fine players.

The word iconic is overused these days but Beckenbauer certainly fits the bill and he won't be forgotten.

Statement: The Scottish Senior Football Referees' Association
Gonzo79 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I'd rather referees were unable to impact our results and I'd rather we didn't resort to blaming referees when we lose. Yes, there have been some questionable decisions but ultimately, our performances weren't good enough. Some of our support are turning into a mirror image of them. -

No, we should fight them on and off the pitch. We didn't deserve anything in either of this season's derby matches because we played crap both times. I don't like making excuses for that. -
Statement: The Scottish Senior Football Referees' Association

That's the sort of thing I'd expect to hear from that lot. If we play well enough, we win matches, regardless of what the referees do. -
The referees have spoken... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67901742 "The Scottish referees' union "strongly condemn any commentary impugning" the integrity of officials. The Scottish Senior Football Referees' Association adds that "speculation surrounding the future appointment of referees" is "deeply unhelpful". The statement follows a meeting between the Scottish FA and Rangers, who had asked for the audio from an Old Firm derby VAR ruling, while the governing body rejected a suggestion that Willie Collum be kept from officiating on future games involving the Ibrox club. Collum was the video assistant referee at Celtic Park on 30 December. Rangers said the "overriding consensus" in their meeting with head of referee operations Crawford Allan was the decision of no handball against Celtic's Alistair Johnston was wrong. The SFA replied that they were "disappointed" with Rangers' comments and urged the club to show "greater responsibility". The governing body went on to say they "immediately rejected" requests relating to Collum detailed in a social media post from what they call a "recent official media partner" of Rangers.".

No change there then.

Aye, he's been quite poor but he is up against Dumfries, who is a very pacey wide man. -

Doig's not been in it much, apart from playing some fairly standard passes. Inter 1-0 up and have never lost at home to Verona. -
VAR should have got the wee yahoo left back to do a lie detector test, to find out if he meant it or not. I'm happy to wait a couple of hours, as long as the correct decision is made.

Internazionale v Hellas Verona on TNT1 just now, if anyone's interested in watching Doig in action. -
I agree most of us are the same but none of the mainstream political parties are friends with Rangers or lower income people (SNP and Labour use them for political gains and the Conservatives couldn't care less). Being patronised is no better than being ignored. The SNP actively hate us though and the rise of Scottish nationalism correlates with the overriding hatred of Rangers FC all over Scotland. Vote however you want but people who resemble shinners just look out of place.

There's a Rangers fan at my work called Daniel who votes SNP. I can't take him seriously.
