I need to predict their results on here more often. -

I think yesterday showed the injury list is having a significant impact on our performances. In particular, Cortes has been a bit of a recent sensation and was missed. -

Well, some of the decisions are disputable, hence this tiresome debate. -
If we had a good striker, one of his crosses would've resulted in a goal.

You're awfully argumentative, Cammy. It's a red. The refs are crap. VAR is crap. It's been a disappointing day, football wise. -

Thanks, that's the first replay I've seen. In modern football, that's a red. It wouldn't be a red if I made the rules though but that's irrelevant. -

Another reason to bin VAR. -

Stills are not reliable when judging fast paced sporting moments. I'd need to have a look at replays of the incident to make a valid comment. -

Agreed. It felt a bit like banging your head against a brick wall watching some of that today. If it's not working, change it. -

The referees are generally not very good. There are a lot of decisions that are subjective and the rules aren't 100% clear, such as handball, which causes problems for everyone with a vested interest. We laughed at them and their 'Masonic referees' pish for years. -

I think a lot of us (me included) had almost forgotten how bad we were just a few months ago. Today was a sharp reminder of the squad limitations. -

Have they started dishing out retrospective cards? I haven't heard of this. -

They'll annihilate Hearts tomorrow. 4-0, at least. -

Same goes for Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd fans. And Inter, Milan and Juventus fans. And Barcelona and Real Madrid fans. The refs are out to get us mantra is ubiquitous. -

What can we appeal? They don't hand out retrospective cards and McCausland is injured. -

Another thing about Goldson, why does he bother going up for corners? He is clearly incapable of heading the ball in the direction he wants it to go. We could've had 1,000,000 crosses today and still not scored. We should take different kinds of corners and wide players should aim for the byline and cut the ball back because crosses against that kind of defence are a total waste of time. -

I think the phrase 'bad day at the office' sums up today's performance. Goldson and Souttar both played poorly - they really need to react quicker to what's going on around them and stop falling over so easily. -

McCausland is a young winger. Young players tend to be a bit enigmatic, as do wingers, so I think we should give him a bit of a break. I like Silva bit he needs to create and/or score more. -

I think Motherwell will be tough tomorrow. An early goal would be good but 3 points is what it's all about. -

You've already explained that yourself above. The suffix means it resembles something, not that it is that thing. When someone is statuesque, it means they're like a statue. It doesn't mean they're an actual statue. I'm unsure what's confusing you about it. I stand by it. The constant whining about referees is yahooesque. -

I mean, I'm not suggesting posters like Bill, Frankie and Uilleam are yahoos, I'd have thought that was fairly obvious. The 'esque' suffix is quite widely used. Brian McClair is grotesque, for instance (grotto-esque, Italian etymology). -

Aye. "What does it mean when someone says esque? an adjective suffix indicating style, manner, resemblance, or distinctive character: arabesque; Romanesque; picturesque."
