  1. Just back from the match. Feeling pretty flat but I had a good chat with an older Bear in Bar72 and saw Willie Johnstone as I left, which reminded me that WATP.
  2. I always thought Oor Wullie and The Broons were from Dundee - mainly cos that's where they were written. Every day's a school day...
  3. Some players turn up at a new club and hit the ground running. Others don't. That's life (Hateley wasn't well thought of until he'd been here half a season, for instance). Give the new lads a couple of months of game time before making proper judgements.
  4. I'm not from Edinburgh but it's worth remembering that the Scottish Reformation took place here and the Enlightenment had a huge impact and the remnants remain. I love Glasgow and Edinburgh and think it sums up a lot of what's wrong with Scotland and also Rangers supporters - rather than share and celebrate our combined heritage, we tend to argue and pick faults with our own. Rangers are a club I care deeply about. It's far more than just football. It's time to win our league back - beating Hearts is another marker on the road.
  5. They vary quite wildly. I live in Edinburgh and some Hearts fans are fine (enjoy a bit of rivalry but that's all it is) but others are objectionable gits who despise us. In my experience, finding out how they voted in 2014 is usually a good indicator of how it'll go.
  6. I really like Dodoo. He is a clever player, creates space for himself and others and I'd like to see him get some game time.
  7. I feel that's a wee bit unfair on Daly. I am certainly not his biggest fan but he was a decent, honest pro during his spell at Ibrox. Regarding tomorrow's match - I'm hoping for a good result but wouldn't bet on it. Other club sides seem to up their game to play us, as we've all seen since we got back up to the top division. Hearts will be bursting a gut and have some decent SPL standard players. What we need to do is get stuck in and take our chances. I'd prefer to see Miller dropped and Dodoo played in the No.10 role and Windass dropped too (turning up for 15 minutes per match simply isn't good enough).
  8. I do mean 'we' as in Rangers supporters. So do the press but strangely the Police and SFA seem less interested.
  9. We give Lennon far too much coverage. He'll be revelling in it.
  10. Hopefully we win at Easter Road and Caixinha unfurls a large Union Flag on the pitch whilst giving the Hibs fans the bird.
  11. I think the Police should be talking to Lennon and Stokes about assault and breach of the peace.
  12. I've never had a season ticket and have been going to Ibrox for over 30 years. I like sitting (or standing) in various places - the West Enclosure feels like home but the best views are from the Bar72 seats and the best atmosphere is in BF1. I have no idea why people get so entrenched in 'their' seat. If there's a better atmosphere, everyone benefits. The team receiving a better support is the most important thing - if 'your' seat is more important than Rangers winning then you need to sort out your priorities.
  13. I'm doubtful he even met them in real life. The guy should be sectioned and sent for some intense English lessons.
  14. I think we're fine for midfielders and have faith in Rossiter - if he can stay fit he'll go on to great things.
  15. Well said Hugh Burns. Spot on!
  16. You would hope the new foreign players now realise what we're up against and are up for the fight.
  17. "It came after he appeared to shove Dylan McGeouch before going head-to-head with Anthony Stokes." An interesting summary of the situation by The Scum newspaper. Anyone who buys that loo-roll needs labotomised immediately.
  18. Health and Safety, I get it.
  19. As long as Miller is played as a deep lying No.10 we'll fail to create enough chances. Play him up front or swap him for Herrera.
  20. Why are we Brits so scared of flares and smoke bombs? There are thousands of them at football matches around the globe every week. I'm not really bothered either way but find the overeaction a bit odd. The UB should try to lessen the generic Ultra songs and focus more on Rangers related stuff. More people would join in that way. And ditch the drum and slow the songs down a bit too (they seem to get faster every season and lose their power).
  21. The Police lift folk for singing in the toilets at Ibrox. No idea who would get offended about a Rangers-related song getting sung in a toilet full of Bears but it makes for easy statistics and justifies their overtime.
  22. Good luck to them. The atmosphere at Ibrox is usually quite flat. As much as I hate them, it seems to have improved the atmosphere at the Piggery. I'd like to see a standing section in the corner of the Govan and Copland stands. Standing is definitely preferable, especially when you're young.
  23. I thought we'd seen the back of him when he went to Bolton. The nick of him on Saturday was embarrassing for Scottish Football - an ugly, pear shaped, ginger scrote, who acts like a complete moron with no class whatsoever. Scotland will be a better place when he's gone.
  24. And another point - was the plucked chicken lookalike, Griffiths, taken to task for tying the yahoo scarf round our goalpost? Isn't that sort of thing inciting violence?
  25. Fair point. Hibs bullied us all over the pitch and the referee allowed them too. I guess I'm just annoyed because this seems to occur regularly since Warburton appeared. Jack should've just booted him up in the air.
