  1. I'm in my late 30s and still prefer to stand, wherever possible. I appreciate that others prefer to sit and then you have to consider disabled supporters but I don't see why anyone would object to a safe standing area for 3-6,000.
  2. So everyone has to sit down? Younger people will much prefer standing with their mates and having a sing song, which means we get the next generation involved. If 10,000 Bears are against safe standing, good for them. They can stay quiet in their seats somewhere else and let a few thousand stand. We must have the grumpiest support in world football.
  3. To be fair, there are obviously rumours amongst the staff at Rangers which fans get wind of. Sometimes the club might be looking at someone and it doesn't go through - that's just football. Some people take it far too seriously. Wait until it's official before getting excited.
  4. I do. And it can't get much worse. As much as I hate to say it, the atmosphere at the Piggery is better than Ibrox and the standing area there is definitely a contributory factor. The football should be a good day out and I've had far better days whilst on terraces.
  5. Anyone who bets on us to win the league this season is throwing money away. Sadly, the vermin have by far the best team in the league and will drop hardly any points (we've already dropped 4 in three matches).
  6. I really like the smell of smoke bombs and think they look good. Flares look good too but I can see why there are concerns about them. I really hope the safe standing gets the go ahead as Ibrox is a library for most matches.
  7. That's exactly how I see it. A silly thing for PC to come out with publicly, as now potential buyers know we don't value MOH.

    Braveheart.

South Park's portrayal of Mel Gibson was more accurate than Braveheart's portrayal of William Wallace.
  9. I'm trying not to assume too much but trying to give Pedro and Pena the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he's just on the bench to get him accustomed to a new environment?
  10. I'm sure he's still at the club. It's a shame if he doesn't get any more chances with the first team. I saw us play at Gala Fairydean Rovers a month or so ago and was very impressed with Barjonas (sp?). He looks a cracking prospect and seemed to do okay when he got a chance but he too seems to have fallen off the radar.
  11. I never had McKay down as a wide player. Always thought he'd be more effective behind the strikers - as he didn't go past people enough to be a great winger.
  12. Aye I understand. Not sure how anyone would react in such awful circumstances and absolutely no criticism or offence intended in my post.
  13. In all honesty, I think it would diminish the magnificence of our Main Stand but appreciate, in modern football, generating revenue streams is essential.
  14. I heard today that the banners on the club deck stairs are potentially going to be sold as advertising space. No idea if true, although hopefully Orange get on board if it is. I don't see how anyone could argue against the police vehicles on Edmiston Drive. Makes sense.
  15. Great work, as always. The use of the word 'killed' on the gravestone is a tad disconcerting, although in the grand scheme of things not that important.
  16. We're only three league games into the season. Pedro obviously rates Pena, so at least wait a month or two....it might work out, although I certainly have doubts.
  17. He's a decent enough striker but by no means a great footballer (even by SPL standards). I have no idea why he's playing such a deep role or who's idea it is but every man and dog can see it's ineffective at best.
  18. Pretty obvious neither Advocaat or Kanchelskis have much time for each other. His comment about us being defensive then is ludicrous - Rangers played some great, expansive football under Advocaat.
  19. None of our forward players really did anything to merit a high rating. Jack was tidy and effective, as usual and Alves looked comfortable. Miller was useless.
  20. I see Cummings has scored twice for Forest tonight, he would've got a few goals for us, although I'm not sure he's the sort of person I'd have liked in a Rangerst shirt. We need wide players (full backs and wingers) and Miller dropped.
  21. I agree with that. Losing at home to Hibs, Aberdeen and heavily to Celtic were bad enough but the Progres result was unforgiveable. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's not easy.
  22. If we can't beat Aberdeen and get a draw with that other lot before the New Year then his time is up. Only so many humiliations the Rangers support will tolerate.
  23. We wore a training top. Puma won't do much for us and that's sort of understandable, albeit disappointing.
