    Go Gordon

The world was a rather different place in the 70s. Again, not a defence but maybe a reason. Hopefully things improve at Ibrox for people who require disabled access. I don't think any Bear would want to see another Bear unable to attend.

    Go Gordon

Good luck to the lad. With wheelchair access and similar initiatives, I'd suspect it probably boils down to costs rather than discrimination. It's free to wear rainbow laces and the club has better recruitment opportunities if we can sign people regardless of religion or ethnicity. It costs money to provide facilities for some disabled fans. I'm not suggesting it is in any way correct or ethical not to do so - I'm just stating a reason for it not happening to the extent required. And I apologise if that bothers anyone - I'm trying to be reasonable but also sticking up for Rangers.
  3. More athletic but less connection to the club they play for (usually).
  4. A red away shirt suits me. The 70s Rangers strip when we switched back to red and black socks is the greatest football strip of all time. Especially when Quinton Young wore adidas boots with orange stripes with it. Absolute perfection.
  5. I know a few Bears who say that. Obviously the trophies and memories in that strip are the best in my lifetime but I think it's a ghastly shirt (shorts and socks were fine). There should never be that much white on a Rangers home shirt. It was an adidas top more than a Rangers top. I actually love the current home shirt. It's nearly perfect.
  6. I like adidas and love Rangers but was very disappointed with our home tops by them. The 92-94 strip was awful - too much white, too dark and there should be no big red parts on the top (and red should never make direct contact with blue). The next one was better but the badge should always be over the heart (left breast). The '96 shirt was rubbish - too much white and a crap collar.
  7. Well said, Gattuso. Sums up a lot of what is wrong with modern football - bunch of pansies and overpaid mercenaries.
  8. I saw it alright. I'd like a wee Union Flag on the back of our shirts, like Spanish clubs have.
  9. Why is it horrid? It's a fairly plain blue top with a Rangers badge.
  10. No deal has been done, so it's ridiculous to think a strip has been designed.
  11. Getting stoned in Aberdeen is not bad...so I've heard from friends, ahem.

    The stadium

Around the street in general, more blue and RFC crests. No changes to the stand (it's listed anyway, so that's really a moot point). I don't care about our allocation there. I have no idea why any Bear wants to give that scum a penny and if I had my way, I'd ban them from Ibrox indefinitely.
  13. There's not much in it for me (between Wright and McInnes). The club is in a difficult situation, where the board have to get this appointment spot on or we could see Celtc dominant for over a decade and attendances/income fall if they cock it up. I think McInnes will bring some stability, which is a good start.
  14. I've got one too - it's a beauty!
  15. It'd be fun to beat the sheep twice and take their manager within the space of a week.
  16. I'd prefer Tommy Wright. His teams do well against the bigger clubs. McInnes' teams don't.
  17. Same here. And my source feels the same. But we have to back whoever comes in.
  18. The source I heard it from makes me pretty certain. Feel free to dismiss it but I don't fudge chat when it comes to Rangers.

    The stadium

I'd just like to see Edmiston Drive a bit smarter and more Rangers-related things around the place. The front facade of the Main Stand is perfect as it is. I'd also like to see the filthy beggars put in the Broomloan corner in future. Sick of them getting the whole stand.
  20. We have to get behind whoever comes in and that is going to be McInnes. I'm not exactly delighted but he'll get my backing.
  21. We're all about diversity and inclusion now, so nationality shouldn't come into it and the post above smacks of xenophobia*. *satire
  22. The Scottish media is riddled with yahoos.
  23. Pena is one of the strangest footballers I've seen. One minute he looks like bhe has never seen a football before and the next he looks like a very skillful and intelligent player. I like him. Football is better with mavericks but as said above, he needs people to carry him to some extent (Holt and Jack looked capable last night and Dorrans is still to come back). He smiled as he came off and I genuinely felt happy for the lad. Give him a break folks.
  24. McInnes will be the new manager. Can't say I'm entirely happy about that but he'll get my backing anyway.
