Disappointing. A bit odd to announce this the week after a home defeat to St Johnstone. It would've gone down a lot better after the two Aberdeen matches or even the Hibs match. You get the feeling the board are either otherwise engaged, skint or haven't a clue what they're doing. Could be all three.

I'd back bringing Tommy Wright in. Seems a good guy, he knows the Scottish game well and will know what Rangers FC is all about. You'd hope for better really but given the McInnes fiasco and the lack of exciting options, he's a more than satisfactory option.

Strikes me that C1872 are a bit too cosy with the board.

Did they not realise Haymarket is a lot closer to Tynecastle? Or did they feel obliged to go and look at the Union Flag waving over the castle or visit Edinburgh's New Town and walk along Rose, Thistle, Queen, India, Jamaica and Dublin Streets and pay homage to Britain's Empire perhaps? They're a funny old lot.

So nothing new. Oh well. The board seem like they have their heads stuck in the sand...I hope they prove me wrong on that.

I'd prefer to see Miller not starting but there's no denying he has some worth.
