When I said 'bear fruit' I was referring to our first team. We can make the academy work for us in other ways.

The requirements at Rangers mean the youth set-up will never bear much fruit nowadays. We'll get lucky once in a while (Nathan Patterson) but usually we'll get shafted (Gilmour) because, either way, we can't compete with EPL clubs.

From the referee's angle, I can see why he thought it was a foul because it looked like Butland followed through with his right leg. The referees have one angle and a split second to make a decision. Football is far too soft, if you ask me. Folk greeting about songs and defenders falling over when a forward taps them on the shoulder. I'm starting to agree with my old PE teacher (rugby man), who often questioned the sexuality of football players and fans. 🤣

An unimpressive performance, yet again. The players just don't look bothered about winning the league and we were lucky their goalie fumbled the first and their defender slipped for the second. I couldn't feel less tense about the run-in.
