  1. No, it came about because McCoist said, "We don't do walking away.". I knew as soon as he said it it would come back and bite us on the arse.
  2. True but all contributory factors should be viewed as something to be improved.
  3. Judging by our home form this season, I'd say dealing with the poor atmosphere is a priority. But that's just my opinion.
  4. But they have new stands, which were possibly more adaptable to this. The newest stands at Ibrox are about 40 years old. I'm not making excuses and I'm sure we all hope disabled facilities at Ibrox can be improved as soon as possible but there are plausibly reasons why this has not occurred already.
  5. I don't think anyone is suggesting social media has seen the advent of abusive or rude behaviour - far from it. It just makes it a lot easier. I get public transport to work - no-one at the tram or bus stop talks, no one on the tram or bus talks either. Families don't talk as much as they used to at home and neighbours hardly know each other. Social media is responsible for exacerbating these social ills (which were already creeping in anyway). And shouting abuse at an opposition footballer whilst attending a match isn't quite the same as making abusive comments to a player's wife on the internet.
  6. Has to be Windass. He is capable and there is a possible re-sell value in him, whereas Miller is finished and does little of note when he's on the pitch these days.
  7. What's happened there? Humped off Bournemouth and Watford within a matter of days.
  8. Unrelated but Tam Forsyth walked past me in Bar72 on Saturday. Definitely the highlight of the day.
  9. In retrospect, PC was a dud and a poor appointment. We can't expect the Scottish press not to use this obvious and easy stick to beat our club with.
  10. I'd prefer a first eleven with Miller and Windass nowhere near it.
  11. That's half the problem with Rangers nowadays. Jock Wallace would be livid with what happened on Saturday. We need more reaction, not less.
  12. Several Bears around me were shouting for changes before half-time. Waiting until 70 minutes to make substitutions was useless. Docherty and Cummings should've been given a good 1/2 hour, at least.
  13. He should be behind Morelos and Cummings in the pecking order. The worry is Murty will shoehorn him in anyway.
  14. Walter Smith's team were on top of the league and had won the previous 4 titles. We are struggling to get second and miles behind the Yahoos. It's all relative but things didn't need changed in 1992/93 but probably do now.
  15. I think our home results, alone, justify wanting a new man in the manager's seat come the start of next season. Not good enough.
  16. I had a flatmate who was a steward at Easter Road for a couple of years. He was a bloody idiot. I suppose what you say is fair enough. It's just hugely frustrating that decent fans missed out, so I hope you'll forgive me my lack of diplomacy.
  17. I don't think the pics on this thread could be classed as definitive evidence. You need to see it in motion to really know whether a player is offside or not and frankly, I have no intention of watching any lowlights from Saturday. A Hibs fan just told me it wasn't a penalty. At the end of the day, we were not good enough, particularly in the first half.
  18. They would have been aware counterfeit tickets were in circulation, so the checks on the gates should have been more stringent. If you operate a one in, one out policy and there was no crushing at kick off, I doubt there would be any crushing at any point. Unless you only let skinny people out and fat people in. Common sense is, of course, discarded when football fans are around. Treated like cattle whilst paying through the nose for it.
  19. Well, if compliance is a legal necessity, it will have to be done ASAP.
  20. We don't know if Bears counterfeited the tickets? Is everyone at the printers a Bear? Or everyone who works at the Rangers ticket office? I doubt it. And it was known counterfeit tickets were around (someone told my dad about it at tea time on Wednesday), so it could be argued that the stewards/Police didn't do their job.
  21. For European games (genuine question)?
  22. I can't afford to go to many games at the moment (I'm responsible for that, not Rangers or the football authorities). We all have things to deal with. I'd love Rangers to provide excellent facilities for all fans who want to or can attend matches but know it's costly and the club doesn't have much spare cash.
  23. Of course not. We have just been through a few years of financial turmoil.
  24. Health and Safety pish and claim culture do my nut in. One in, one out. If someone falls over, he takes responsibility for himself. Someone has travelled a few hundred miles and doesn't get in due to stewards not doing their jobs properly. Not on.
  25. As much as I understand the concerns, Scottish football isn't exactly rolling in cash.
