I don't think he's that bad but he is a bit soft for the league we play in. Hopefully Propper makes a big difference when he's available.

Sensible.

North Central Edinburgh is more like Stockbridge/Silvermills than Murrayfield. Speaking of that area, the original plan for Edinburgh's new town was for it to be built in the shape of a Union Flag. Unfortunately, that proved too complex/costly but it's still a magnificent area, from an architectural point of view.

I stayed in Gorgie for a few years and never had any problems there. Some good pubs too. My son and I wandered up a random street near Union Berlin's stadium and witnessed several bikers and two vans full of skinheads going into a back entrance, which caused us some predictable amusement (Fourth Reich gathering, perhaps?). Other than that, it seemed like a nice area. Hopefully our defending is better in Gorgie than it was last Saturday.

Dinnae be a big wimp. 😃

It's quite disappointing that the starting line up is going to be so familiar. However, they should have enough to beat Hearts. Hopefully pre-season form is dismissed tomorrow and we show a lot more desire and concentration. I was just saying to the wee man that on three Saturdays running, Rangers will have played at Murrayfield, East Berlin and Gorgie. Two of those are within a thirty minute walk from my house but I will have only attended the one that's about 600 miles away. Weird. Mon The Rangers!

Aye, I don't see Diamonde or Barron running big matches. We need someone who can do that, if we want to win the league. Lawrence simply isn't good enough, Dowell is never fit and the manager doesn't fancy Cantwell or Hagi. -

Agreed. There's three or four potential starters that worry me. We've made some decent signings but still not enough transfer activity. -

Aye, Robin Friday. A mythical creature. -
That sentence really needs a comma. That's unfair on the support. Were you at Brechin or the Ramsden's Cup Final or did you fork out for the most expensive Champions League package, only to watch the team get skelped from all and sundry?

No.

Whether the club is an 'omnishambles' or not is a matter of opinion. Omni means all. So am omnishambles suggests all aspects of the club are a problem, which I don't think is the case but posters using that term perhaps don't mean it literally and are implying several or many aspects aren't operating as they should. Which is one reason I find the term's repeated usage rather tiresome. The stadium issue has pushed a few supporters over the edge, understandably.

Although some posters go over the top with continual and repetitive negativity, what has Bennett done at Rangers that you (or anyone?) has been impressed by? We have to judge him on what he does at Rangers.

Given the concerns about our defence, exacerbated by pre-season form, I'm keen on us bringing in an experienced CB, to add some stability. During the two first halves against Birmingham City and Union Berlin, it felt like the opposition could score at will. -
Using 2012 as an excuse is getting old. While it has some validity, we have won the league and reached a European final since then. We need to focus on getting back on top.
-
We had to rely on Killie to help us win the League Cup last season, which brings us round to a hugely important requirement for the manager and players - we have to start beating the scum regularly again. A manager who can't beat them won't last long and won't win trophies.
-
Agreed, it's easy enough to ignore posters you don't like (goes both ways). buster's posts intrigue me (the writing style, phraseology and repetition is highly unusual).
-
Given the general issues with how the club is currently being run, the transfer window (thus far), the performances on the pitch (since March), the injury list and the Copland Road/Hampden scenario, it's fair to say it is an omnishambles. There's just no need to say it on every other post.

Yes and not one of those posts has changed anything at all, which proves my point about the futility of whining endlessly on a forum.

At the end of the day, the only thing that will make the board sit up and take notice is fans voting with their feet. They've made it clear they're not too fussed about our thoughts on goings on at the club (the one exception being the Sydney debacle). One could write the word "onmishambles" 1,000,000 times on Gersnet but it won't make the slightest bit of difference to anything the board do.
-
Management speak is just generic 'please the listener' and 'avoid being confrontational or controversial' bingo nowadays. Expecting honesty, including admissions of guilt, will only lead to disappointment.
-
No one is replacing the board. They need to hire more competent and experienced individuals to run things better. I've seen loads of people continually blaming the board for not backing Gerrard after 55 but Gerrard didn't want to sell anyone, so that was as much his fault as it was theirs. Two main areas of focus should be selling players at their peak and reducing the wage bill.

Too far and you've given Cammy ammo to last him another six months.
