Getting the bulk of his wages paid elsewhere and putting him in the shop window for a season is far better than having him sitting on the bench and paying his full wage. Cleaning up the mess left by all the managers since 55 is going to take a few windows.

In the simplest terms, Jefte has looked good going forward but his defending has been poor, albeit we haven't seen enough to form a very useful opinion.

Jefte did more on the wing, in 20 minutes against the Ukrainians, than Scott Wright has in months.

I like the look of Frankie's team but suspect we'll go with the same starting XI as Saturday.

Not what I wanted to read. I was sure BT/TNT picked up the play-off rounds in the past. 🤔

I may be being a tad presumptuous here but does anyone know what TV station the play-off matches will be on, if we get through tonight (I'm working away for two weeks and will need to locate a suitable drinking hole)? I'm not going tonight. I have come to really hate Hampden over the past few years (which is rubbish, considering some of my favourite memories occurred there).

I'm referring to the playing squad (thinking more about 55 than 2012). Short term pain and all that malarkey. We know we have a bloated squad. We know we're skint. We know we have injury problems. We know we need improvements. We know there's no quick and easy solution.

I think, in light of recent events, we just have to accept that things may get worse before they get better. Clement has alluded to this. As for Danilo, not much we can do other than hope he can make full recovery and is fit and raring to go soon. We don't have the money to go out and replace injured players.

These questions are why Clement and Koppen are paid good salaries. All hypothetical anyway.

The Moroccan isn't far away and I would presume we have potential replacement(s) earmarked for any player.

Given the state of our squad, I'm not sure one available sub would make much difference. Who knows why he's on the bench if he isn't ready but Clement must be doing it for a reason and I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt if it's for the benefit of Danilo.

I'm not sure what to expect. We never look like scoring more than 1 or 2, so have to hope our defence can cut out the mistakes (unlikely).

He's coming back from a terrible injury and Clement is sensibly managing him accordingly. From what I've read, he might never fully recover.

I'd hope the £4m payment for getting to the CL play-off would make a difference too - there are three scenarios (CL, EL with £4m and EL), rather than just two. We still need to get players out though, regardless.

I'm hoping Hagi, Cantwell and one or two others will be sold any minute.

Given our lack of clear cut chances and some dodgy defending against a poor Motherwell side, we'll have to hope for improvements all over the park.
