He has scored twice already (now 9 goals in 4 games).

Nonsense. Been turning up in our droves for over a decade of what has largely been miserable football and hardly any success. The word 'toxic' is similar to 'literally', in that people just seem to fling it into every other sentence. Must be down to a lack of vocabulary or just mass language conformism.

Match Thread [FT] Dundee Utd 0 - 1 Rangers (Lawrence 7)

Quite right but in all honesty, I think we'll need to hope a diddy team knock Celtc out of a cup because we certainly don't look like beating them anytime soon (and I feel nauseous saying that). -

I don't think Clement will start Bajrami or Cortes, so it'll be more of the same at least to start with. I have a bad feeling about Sunday. -
I agree but it does go in cycles, so when other countries of similar (club) footballing stature, like Czech Republic and Croatia, move into the higher coefficient, they'll automatically qualify and get skelped, subsequently losing coefficient points, whilst we're hopefully gaining them in the lesser comps (EL/EC). In the short term though, it's a good thing that that lot don't automatically get in, as it's hard to see past them winning the league again this season.

Maybe Kiev. Salzburg...doubtful. Their recent European record is really poor.
-
I am correct. Scottish champions will not automatically qualify for the CL as of 2025/26. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68795968
-
Disagree. Celtc won't be guaranteed CL money after this season, for starters.

The Summer 2024 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

We'll require stop gap signings, from time to time. Not every player has to fit the trading model. Looks like Tav is staying anyway, so the Christie link is irrelevant. -
Perhaps the reason for that has more to do with the content than the person writing it. You can take it however you want, of course.

Rangers Europa League Squad Submitted - No Danilo / Matondo

True to an extent but 45,000 x 75 = 3,375,000. Multiply that by 4 and you have a fairly sizeable chunk of income, even in EPL land. -

Mental. Although we've yet to see what our EL prices will be. I got a Man City v Inter ticket for £50 and that included the extortionate £15 fee charged by the legal tout site. Not bad (forza Nerazzurri!). -
You don't half take things personally. 🤣

That's one way to look at it. Anyone who pays any attention knows all about the FFP stuff. The reason for this thread is that we look disjointed and lazy on the pitch - the basics aren't being done well enough. Why is that - is it down to the players, the manager or a bit of both?
-
I mean, you've sort of answered your own request there. 🙂

The football landscape, in Scotland and in Europe, has changed significantly in the last forty years, so much so that I'm not sure comparisons are worthwhile. At least our players put up a fight against Celtc back then though. Recent trips to the Piggery look like a waste of time - we'd be as well not turning up.
-
Not really true. McTominay, Gilmore and L Ferguson are now all playing in Serie A and Robertson is a good full-back. Our problems are in defence and up front.
-
I'm pretty sure Koppen will have lists of players he wants to bring in. This lad may not have been first choice but he can't be any worse than Lawrence.
-
It's hard to tell - every aspect of the club seems to be dripping with despondency. Hopefully some of the new signings can lighten the mood but I won't hold my breath. I'm expecting things to get worse in the weeks ahead. There are definite concerns about our style of play but we'll just need to grin and bear it for the next few months.

Nothing sums up the bi-polar nature of our support more than how we view a new signing. They're either useless or the best thing since sliced bread after 10 minutes of their first match (sometimes we have them judged before they've even kicked a ball for us).
